My husband and I are also with you on this cruise. I won the casino door prize at the Meet and Mingle which included 24 hours of Internet. I am using that now. Strangest thing was my husband also won a casino door prize. We have never been so lucky. We ate at chops which was delicious as usual. After a really good dinner on the second night in the dining room we have opted to go to Windjammer for the last two nights. Wonderful selection and great desserts. Love reading your posts!

I was roaming the Windjammer just earlier and it looked pretty good. Enjoy those 24 hours!

I am really enjoying your review. Thank you for doing it.
We will be on the Freedom TA in the other direction this October. What is the Masterchef? I am almost D+ and have never heard of it.:o Have I just been living in another world?
You haven't been living on another world; they probably only do Masterchef on sailing with a lot of sea days. They have officers having to make a plate from a box that contains 5 secret ingredients. They start off with 10 and each round 2 are eliminated. The crossing back may probably do it. It's lots of fun. There are 4 rounds!

Today looks to be a better day. It is still pretty windy, but we have a shy sun coming out. So I am actually out by the pool enjoying some rays.
I had breakfast in MTD today and it is so much nicer and calmer than the Windjammer. The food is very good too and the fruit is actually cut smaller than the Windjammer.
Cruise compass for day 4
And wifi? Last night I was still able to watch Netflix and do skype. It amazes me, cause we are in the middle of the Atlantic.
More later. Have a great day everyone!

Despite the rolling of the ship, yesterday was wonderful! Masterchef at sea is hilarious, but I believe they only offer it if you have lots of sea days. Gotta keep the crowds entertained!
We did a cabin crawl yesterday and that was so much fun. We had a very big group, so we did two groups and it seems both of them had a lot if fun.
I went to the dining room last and it was very good and the company was so amazing I forgot to take pics of the food. But here's the menu
Lines for MTD went a long way. We had our first medical emergency and they respond amazingly fast! I hope the gentleman is doing okay.
No show for me yesterday, I was tired and went to bed early.
The rolling settled down during dinner.

Thank you for taking the time to share your cruise! Although, I think I might be glad to be at home with warning signs about going outside and “sick bags” stuffed into the stairway handrails… If you should meet Leonardo’s waitress Raluca, please do say ‘Hello’ from her April 9th guests and tell her that we are hoping to hear from her. She is a fabulous waitress and a wonderful person with an interesting family that she’s happy to talk about should you inquire. Wishing you calmer winds!
Will do! Captain said the weather should improve. I'd love some sunshine and less wind so I can catch some rays.
Really enjoying your review. Sounds fab apart from the weather. Can you take photos of the entertainment with a mobile phone? Noticed it says no flash photography but would love to be able to take some photos on my phone. Hope the weather improves soon.Yes, you can take pictures, even with a camera. Just no using flash and filming.
Thanks for following.

Good morning from beautiful Freedom of the seas.
Since last night the winds have picked up and so has the rocking and rolling of the ship. If you see the following things, you know it's pretty bad
It is now close to 9 am and the ship is pretty quiet. Don't know where everyone is...
Round 2 of master chef is today, so I will be doing that at 10. Have a good day everyone!

Loving your review! My son is on the ship without internet so I'm enjoying every word you write.
Thanks for following!
That is funny. We saw him in February and he said he would be flying home after the TA. He must have changed his mind.Well, the ship is probably his home :-). Thanks for reading.

My new friend!
Let's knock on wood, but internet is still working. Managed netflix last night and earlier this afternoon. I'll try again in a minute. Voucher says you are logged out automatically after 2 hours, but not on my iPad, neither my iPhone. I just turn off wifi to switch devices.
When I go to bed I put a flashlight, my wallet, my passport and sea pass on my nightstand. Warm clothes are on the sofa. A good soldier comes prepared!
Time to take my pills and resume my star trek: the next generation marathon

It has been a very interesting day. A lot of rocking and rolling going on, but it should improve.
I heard from more than one person that their clothes were wet yesterday when they got them. If I am not wrong, they could get vouchers at guest relations to get them cleaned. Not a fun way to start the cruise, but not much can be done against the downpour we had yesterday.
Went to masterchef at sea at 10 in studio B and Captain Espen has been sent back to the bridge, no next round for him. There will be four rounds in total. The three judges were Pinnacle members and Mario was one of them. He has a great sense of humor!
Wanted to do lunch at windjammer at 11.45. Only one side open and it was packed. I went to Johnny Rockets instead. Food was great, but not a good combination with a ship that rocks. I had a heavy stomach and felt queasy for a good part of the afternoon.
Meet and mingle was a success, a lot of people showing up. They gave away a lot of gifts, mainly photo frames, wines, t-shirts and internet for one day.
Today was formal and I went to Giovanni's. The food was amazing.
For a starter I had the warm mozarella and prosciutto
My main was the risotto and the filet mignon. The food was simply extraordinary.

I have been wandering around the ship and I have to say that it's very windy. It's a very bad idea to wear a hat. Some places you really have to hold on not to fall. I have to say that Freedom handles the Atlantic beautifully!
I ran into Super Mario at the Pool Deck. He will be changing ships in Barcelona for 6 months and he'll come back to the US on Freedom in October. He's a very nice and down to earth guy!
For those who want to know what you can have for breakfast, here you go!

Good morning from beautiful windjammer. It is very quiet in here at this time. But can you beat this view?
The ship is moving and the wind is howling. It still looks grey outside, but it may get better.
My breakfast this morning:
And in case you're wondering, this is out for breakfast

What a wonderful day we had. We were delayed for two reasons. We couldn't leave if the Silhouette didn't and she was delayed too. And they were still loading palets on the ship at 6. Maybe the underestimated all the food we'll need we'll need for this crossing.
Had a wonderful dinner at Chops with the Bogo Promotion. Started with a King Caesar
Then I had the 9 oz filet mignon medium rare and it was so good, cooked to perfection. My sides were asparagus, spinach, mushrooms and a baked potato
And that onion bread is sooo good!
Cruise director is Michele and he is amazing. Welcome aboard show was with the comedy of Jimmy Carol. He was hilarious.
Tomorrow I'll be taking ship pictures. We also turn the clock one hour forward at noon and meet and mingle is in the star lounge at 2.45. Tickets for the ice show will be distributed between 8.30 and 10.30 and between 2 and 3. We are currently sailing at 20.3 knots.
Going to catch some Zzzzz's, I am pretty tired!

I am extremely happy to report my bed is very comfortable. It feels like a cloud. I had requested a mattress topper prior, but was told the no longer offer them. So I bought one at Walmart and took it with me. I won't be needing it!
So if you're on board today and your bed is too hard, feel free to come ask for my topper. I don't need it.
Muster drill is at 4.30. I'm off to roam the ship and see how many CC members I run into
!

I am happy to say that I am unpacked. My bags arrived at 1.15 and my cans of soda made it too.
I had bogo booked and went to Galileo's to make reservations for the first tow night. Tonight it's gonna be Chops and tomorrow Giovanni's.

At one point check-in came to a stand still because of computer problems. People were let on the ship somewhere between 11 and 11.30, don't know how late exactly. I was stuck at check-in.
After another short wait we were let on board
Correct picture for diamond and diamond plus is this one:

I made it on board and I am currently sitting in the windjammer having a huge salad with tuna for lunch. Port side salad bar didn't have ranch, but haven't checked port side. I hope they didn't forget my ranch!
Left my room around 10 and arrived at the port around 10.30. And there she was sitting. The big day is finally there.
Check-in building was not extremely crowded, just buzzing with people
Priority line
Diamond and diamond plus was a mot bussier than the lower levels

Enjoy your cruise! Kelly Goodrich will be playing the piano in the schooner bar. Each night he does a tribute hour and he'said a lot of fun!
Thank you!

Today is the big day. To be honest with you, I didn't sleep very well last night. I fell asleep easily, the beds are very comfortable, but woke up around midnight. One of my neighbours had the tv blasting. Loud, really loud. I sleep with earplugs and boy it was loud. I can understand that some people don't hear very well, but isn't that the point of CC on the tv? About 30 minutes later I think they went to sleep. Luckily!
I woke up before 6 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Obviously I am very excited. Well duh! And hey, my neighbour just woke up and turned his tv on. And guess what? It is loud! I sure do hope that's not my neighbour on the ship... [emoji33]. I just realised my room here is connecting. Well, that explains it!
I went down to Starbucks around 7 for breakfast and I ate on my balcony.
Weather is not so good, it is pouring right now
The bags are re-packed and I am so ready to go. I'll just hang out in my room and call the bellhop when I am ready. See you on the ship

What do you have planned for your time in Barcelona?
Nothing as of yet. I may do the cruise organised city tour with airport drop off. Thanks for following.

I spent a good part of the day by the pool, but it was still very windy. Today was the belly flop competition. It was lots of fun and the best part was all the contestants flopping together.
I read mist of the day, by the pool, on the helipad, on deck 4, but ended up in my room to take a hot shower because I was freezing. The wind is so cold.
Dinner at Giovanni's again, and again it was amazing
I went to the pool to watch Fences on the big screen and both pools are drained.
Despite a hoodie, a fleece and two towels I had to leave and get back inside. One, I was cold and two there is so much wind it gave me a headache.
