Here are the program details about our beverage program- CHEERS!

With the purchase of this program, you will enjoy the ease and convenience of paying one flat price for your spirited beverages (yep, that’s with alcohol) all cruise long! At only $49.95 per person ($69.95 on 3 days cruises), per day, plus a 15% gratuity, this program is an amazing value! Simply use your newly-stickered Sail & Sign Card and you’re ready to enjoy!

Yes, I can confirm they had this program on the Inspiration 4 dayer out of Los Angeles. It's strange, they didn't push it, and barely advertised it. I saw it on the program real small on the bottom of it. We didn't do it because as it says $49 per day per person. Maybe next time.

Screen shot of the ships that offer it. The Inspiration is not one. However, the Victory and the Paradise offer 4 day cruises with the cheers package.

Oh dang, it's too small on my screen. But you said it doesn't say Inspiration. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  3. Great thread, I too started at the end of it, to get the most up to date. We just booked Inspiration (out of LA). Do they have this program on the 4 dayer? We've never done the Cheers program, but this sounds like my dh & I's thing. Does Carnival still sell Foster's, that's my dh's favorite beer and was so bummed when Princess stopped selling it.

  4. Cruise ships converging on St. Martin

I've never experienced so many ships all in one dock area, it was so cool! We had D731 and fellow CCr Mimi was next door, so at the end of the day we must have spent 2 or 3 hours out there on our balconies having a "photo bomb party." So many people were taking pics of the aft of our beautiful ship, so we took it as an opportune time! So if you took a picture, you might see us being silly on the aft.

Then sail away was so cool, all those ships sailing out with lights on.. priceless.

  5. thank you thank you thank you for including this. I have been leaning towards keeping my booking for an aft cabin and have been waiting with fingers crossed that there would be posts indicating that the soot is not a constant issue.

We were in D731 on the 11/3 and like Billco said, noticed it at the beginning and then not much after. I kept some flip flops by the slider so I wasn't barefoot on the balcony. Our chairs seemed to be moved, so I'm guessing our room steward Freddie was cleaning up back there.

  6. We are docked in Ft Lauderdale. Glad we have two more cruises because there is still much to see, do, eat and drink.:D:eek:

There is a very large group boarding today so our dining room has been changed. The group will have Allegro has their own Anytime dining. Concerto will be Traditional and Symphony Anytime for everyone not part of the group.

Yesterday both pools were very crowded. Difficult to find a place to sit but by 1 pm folks started to leave. The sun is hot :D

CAREFREEBEE...are you on the port side? We are also midship aft and smelled smoke when we were in FLL last week. Thanks for the heads up on the margaritas!! We have been having our before dinner drinks at Crooners. I love the cucumber lime martinis.

    Cheers, Denise

Hey Denise, thanks for the info on the Anytime Dining, guess we'll be in the Symphony DR. See you later today!!!! Gorgeous day for sailing!

  7. I know I drank a lot of wine, but on the 30 days I spent on this ship, Carlos Oscar was not there. Perhaps it was a command performance. ;) Then again, Monday and Tuesday was just for travel agents and we got off on Sunday.

Well there ya go, you got off the ship on Sunday, my TA got on for the 2 day TA thingy the 27th-29th. Phew, I was wondering.

  8. Oops, my bad. She left a note for me on the ship and in her email telling me where it is for when we board, I was so excited I read her email wrong. She said "if" he is on the ship. Sorry about that. Now I have to go write Carlos too, I was telling him I was looking forward to seeing him.

Thanks for the heads up Pia, I'll go back in my Hobbit Hole now.

OK.. Pia my TA is saying he performed on the Royal this week. I don't know, maybe it was a private event and she was the only one there. ;)

  9. Your agent is wrong. Carlos Oscar was not on the TA

  10. Larry, #1winelover, holding portrait of Dave. In recognition of Dave's tireless work, that we all benefited from, to prepare us for our first sailing on the fabulous Royal Princess, we salute you! Wish you were here!

This is so great! Hi Larry (see you in a couple days), Hi Dave, it's nice to see your portrait!

  11. I just found your message. We're sailing on the same cruise, and my daughter has already left a message on the boards. I corresponded with a tour guide at Halifax, where rental cars are not readily available on Sundays. He has agreed to take 12 tourists starting at 8 AM for a 5 hour tour seeing some of the historic places in Halifax, out to Peggy's Cove, a stop to hopefully see whales along the coastline, a stop at the Citadel, and a drive by the cemetary for the Titanic victims. We would bring a snack from the ship, and eat a late lunch back on the ship at 1 PM. We are looking for 7 more tourists to join us. Would you mind copying this and posting it where it needs to go? Thanks!

Who are you talking to lacuna?

  12. You asked me to come back and tell you my opinion of a C753 vs E731.

We sailed Octboer 24 in the C753. Jules and I both liked the cabin and balcony but prefer E731 balcony for us.

Balcony size wise, they are both generous in size. Can't find anything wrong with either in that respect. We had 6 of us one night at sailaway on C753 and no problems. E731 is just as generous. I am just comparing balcony size, of couse E731 is a mini suite and has more interior room but I am only comparing balconies.

Jules didn't like the lack of breeze on the aft. I was fine without the wind blowing.

It was unbearably hot on our return trip with the sun beating down on us the morning we tried to have and balcony breakfast. We had another couple and we ladies ended up going inside to sit on the bed and finish eating as it got way too hot and the lack of breeze made it uncomfortable. Had we ordered the balcony breakfast in the early days of our cruise we would of been fine. We enjoyed our coffee in the morning out there until the last 2 days to return.

I did find sun on the aft balcony and was able to lay out. Even though it is fully covered there were still sunny spots

When sailing in E731 we feel we get enough wake view plus the additional side view. We often felt like we were missing something not being able to see towards the front.

The wake is loud. E731 gives you a less noisy ride.

I don't think down the line we would book this cabin again. If money is not an issue we would go for the mini on the Emerald with the 2 ends always being the first choice. If we are bargain hunting would just book the lowest balcony cabin and take our chances. If I was upgraded to this area I would be OK, not so sure about DH.

If you love the aft this is the quietest location you will find on the ship. One day the room service girl came in and looked around and exclaimed she didn't know that the cabin was back there. VERY QUIET!

I really appreciate you coming back and giving your review. Thumbs up to you!
