We will say a pay before we board
-
We are on the NOS next month. We made dinner reservations for 5:45 because everything else was taken.
Will I be able to change my reservation to 6:00 or so once we get on board?
Thanx

Most of the tour companies will do a small family tour so you can setup what you want to see- contact them and ask - we are
-
Do not know if it is my system but could not view the Compasses - thanx
Thanks for the info - I was able to view after I emailed each compass to myself

Cruising on the Nav in Feb so I really enjoyed our review
-
Subscribing -- on the January 17th 6-nighter. First time on the Navigator, doing a solo with an inside view with virtual balcony on deck 9.
We are on a Feb cruise with a virtual balcony - if you don't mind can you came back after your cruise and give a short review of the cabin - thanx

I had this same problem and the Southampton Guru, John Bull, recommended Smithsforairports.com for a private car service from LHR to Southampton as well as from the cruise to London post cruise. They start taking reservations 6 months before the needed dates but they provided an estimate. I already put a date on my calendar to contact them in the spring. I did a Google search and they were highly recommended.

There are several well recommended private hire companies who will do this. Smiths for Airports (based locally in Portsmouth) is one. Email them with your requirements for a quote.
John - I contacted Smiths and even though they won't take a reservation until 6 months out they gave me an estimate. We are going to use them from LHR to Southampton and then from Southampton to South Kensington post-cruise. Thank you for your help.

Thanx to both of you for the information. Have a good holiday season.

If I may change the subject a little - how would I get a private car/minivan from the port to a hotel in a South Kensington - I realize I could take the bus to Heathrow and transfer to a Earls Court stop but looking at alternative options - thanx
-
Have you looked at taking a train?
-
Thanx for the review - we are on the NOS in Feb - different itinerary but loved your description of the ship
-
Have you tried your roll call as that is where you would find others on your cruise?
-
Sorry to change the subject but how was the virtual balcony cabins?
-
Thanx for the info - think I will just get in line
-
Thanx - this is why I am asking CC for help - I guess that the US is not part of the EEA - to bad
-
You are correct - darn those US passengers LOL
-
Thanx for responding. We will be arriving in Terminal 2. I have a US passport with a chip in the cover that indicates who I am and, supposedly, there are computer kiosks that can read the chip and ketone enter the UK. Of course if the regular lines are short would probably just go through those lines instead of depending on a computer.

We will be flying from the US to Heathrow arriving on a Sunday at about 9:30 PM. I am trying to get an idea of the length of the queue that time of the evening. I know that it all depends on a number of things that could happen but I am asking anyways.
Do the epassport queue help or hinder?
Thanx

Are you driving from SPB to Moscow, flying, or taking the train. I believe if you contact any of the big SPB tour companies they an provide a car service and/or a guide.
-
By the end of the day might need a lay down scanner
-
Thanx for your input - I do not need a bag as it is attached to me and I cannot leave it in the tour bus. We have arranged a tour with TJ tours and I am waiting for their response but wanted to get input from CC cruisers.

I have a medical device that cannot go thru a metal detector. Are there any must see sites that include a metal detector such as any of the museums or churches?
Thanx
