  1. I agree with these answers “but” it is really a decision or lack of a decision by the front desk staff once aboard. We sailed on Conquest and made Diamond on our first day and asked what the process was on boarding day and they responded let’s look into it. Never heard back so went back again on day two and told sorry but until the system updates your points from our previous cruise (back to back) they couldn’t honor. The system updated on day three but remained platinum until our next sailing a month later. Not apples to apples and would think you will get upgraded but I still believe it’s all about what the staff onboard believe and are willing to do. In my case NOTHING.
  2. Credit is normally already loaded on your account and when you put your card into a slot machine it will pop up with a message. If wanting chips for the tables first put your card into a slot machine and have rhe funds pop up and the go to the cage. A few times on Conquest the money wasn’t on the machine and the cage will fix it for you. O cash though.
  3. Once is a rare while it may charge you for your drinks after boarding (not referring Tx or New York in which the free drinks don’t start until in international water) so keep an eye on your account. Two cruises ago right after boarding our dinks were charges and the bartender knew us and said “are you guys not on the Casino free drinks program because the system is charging you for them? We checked with the casino host who checked with the Bar Manager who said he didn’t see the charges. We showed the host our Carnival HUB account summery with the charges and she called the Bar Manager again. On day 2 they finally resolved it and backed off the charges. Moral is just keep an eye on your account and they will fix when they have an error.
  4. We just had a friend who is booked for June and when she first attempted a few weeks ago to book Breakfast it showed sold out. A few days later they added Birthday Party and she was able to book. I would respectfully encourage you to watch as these DR SUISS do sell out. happy cruising
  5. Strange is my first reaction as my understanding was the Breakfast at a lower price had been replaced with the higher priced Birthday. The sailings we have booked show the Breakfast as sold out while the Birthday Party is available. Would be surprised if you are actually able to book the Breakfast but with Carnival anything is possible.
  6. Just got another survey for next weeks cruise. I choose to complete them with the hope that someone is reading these we will see results in positive changes
  7. We have filled out this survey numerous times since they launched it and not once have we received any additional perks or heard a peep from them. For clarity we don’t expect anything and just replying about some who had thoughts that the survey may have generated perks. Maybe it did for them but certainly not our experience. I asked a few hosts and they seem to know less than I did.
  8. Not on Carnival but On Princess we saw that the crew had all checked out mentally and made it a poor trip. Having said that it was the only in many in this situation and we didn’t let it deter us.
  9. Pay part of the cruise fare with certificates and take between $1 & 2 thousand in gift cards for onboard credits. The Pursers desk makes it seamless with these larger cards.
  10. We have done conquest and it was most organized with a specific meeting location & time provided the day before. We were cared for until everyone but us were confirmed to be off the ship and in our case the Hotel Director and his designee escorted us off the ship to the pier and we made a loop de loop and passed through the facial recognition scanner and right back aboard. We then waited in the atrium bar with free mimosas until general boarding started. When then proceeded on our own to muster station checkin and given we had the same cabin as well we were able to immediately access the cabin if we so desired. We were given our new cabin cards while having mimosas’s and they had a photo opportunity with a back to back background. EASY
  11. Thank You FOR THIS POSTING….. Reading with great interest as we join you in Sunday and looking forward to hearing more.
  12. We use ur but we are not eligible for celebrity bookings with them because of being a customer of celebrity. Have some good to great offers through ur showing on celebrity so took a chance and asked ur comped and they said a hard no. Thanks for the kind suggestion though.
  13. Sounds like this Veterans Cruise post got highjacked to a COVID post
  14. I believe it. We have 1 Celebrity Cruise Booking on the Nov Ascent sailing which we elected to book without any Blue Chip offer as it was the cheaper option. At the same time we have 8 Carnival Casino bookings through May 2024. Clearly Celebrity and Carnival Ships are not the same but the Casino Offers and treatment is clearly better for us. I was surprised how well NCL did with 1st place as they have been more difficult for us to work with then Blue Chip. Guess it shows that Too each there own.
  15. We have cruised 3 times with them and received a survey each time but each time we couldn’t fill it out because of MSC’s poor online system. The survey showed but couldn’t complete it as it was dead.
  16. Pleased to see Carnival has continued sending out a follow up survey on its customer service after we had asked for confirmation of casino offers for our upcoming back to back’s. Sent in request four days ago and received an answer to all 4 requests within 72 hours. We always wait until 2 to 3 weeks before our departure to request confirmations. Watching now to see if they are still doing VOICE OF THE PLAYER.
  17. We did it aboard conquest on our last sailing in June and did the kitchen tour and while it was worthwhile for us could see why some wouldn’t like it. The food was outside my wheelhouse of enjoyment but my wife loved it. The actual event and staff was great. I’m not sure I would book it again at least for awhile.
  18. Did one before our last cruise as well as the follow up survey afterwards. Didn’t seem to mean anything once aboard and yep I even discussed it with the host and while he was aware of it he knew less about it then I did. While aboard the cruise the Players Club folks came onboard and got to have a nice chat with one of them. I think these may make a difference in the future as it should impact the decisions/changes made by the shore office of Players Club once they have enough feedback to recognize what the players are saying. So filling these babies out before you depart and then again after you return will likely help all of us in the future.
  19. We will be doing our 4th & 5th cruise using ur comped in Aug & Oct and have been pleasantly pleased so far. It doesn’t cost a penny to submit your information to ur comped so worth the effort. I suspect that the first offer will be lower until you Cruised once with ur comped and establish some history.
  20. Given this isn’t a food pantry but rather “GAMBLING” so yes not free but neither is the cruise but many of us enjoy the chance of winning and the entertainment of the chance. I will accept an offered dinner regardless of I won a JACKPOT or donated. It’s simply entertainment.
  21. Of our 2 cruises in the past 12 months the first one sent an email in advance of sailing while pour last they did not. Next sailing is in August and assume if we will get an email it won’t be before mid July
  22. 6500 on 3 day and 7,000 on 4 day. They offered dinner on day 2 of 4 day and had about 2500 points. We were regulars on both legs of the back to back.
  23. Every case is a different situation and every casino is managed by people who have a set of guidelines they must work within. Some flexibility but not much. Just got off the conquest on a back to back and asked if points ended and restarted at zero and got many accurate responses that they reset at zero and a few snarky remarks about my question. I respectfully spoke with the host on the last day of 1st leg and asked if any offers should be possible. Said let’s see how your points & play are the 2nd leg. On the 2nd day of 2nd leg Dinner in the Steakhouse. Moral here is just have a conversation. As far as what features are available like cash vs loaded onto your machine being driven by the age of the ship and conquest again proves that statement can be incorrect. Conquest loads onto your card and generally you don’t even have to go to the cage as it’s loaded automatically although not working perfect in back to backs. Conquest just a few weeks ago installed 2 cash out machines in which you insert your card and cash out your balance. It won’t work above $1200 unless you take it out in smaller withdrawals. Lastly, older ships like conquest are consistory getting the upgrades to the tables to new slot machines. Clearly, ships like conquest is a high priority for the casino at sea folks given the number of casino sailing gs they offer so no surprise that they are making it a state of art ship/
