If you departed the ship on Saturday don't expect to see any charges until at least Tuesday or Wednesday. No transactions will post on weekends.

True at my TD Bank in Canada, may be a different process in the States?

If every loaf of your homemade sourdough bread sells at $12 and people keep coming back every weekend, are you going to lower the price to match the price offered by the baker on the next block?

Um...yes....because if my bread is going well for $12...then a reduction in price may bring in the customers from the bakery down the block.

thank you for this post and standing up for cruisers!  we hace cruised with various  group.. motorcycle folks were great,  but some others did impact us alot more.  A large deaf group with sign interp were the focus at every venue and activity & we felt left out.  Another group had elevs exclusive for use by their group run manually on Shabbat.. thus reducing use by .others..and crowds waiting!  We enjoyed a group of ballroom dancers..

    Point is..just post a list!

Do you know how many would avoid the cruise following a nudist cruise if they posted the list??  😁.  There are sites you can google to find group cruises and these do show up.

  4. Not in the recent past....they just keep recycling the 'old' one for months now;  only one time they add $50 then add $100 the next time then revert back...rinse and repeat.  If Royal has the specials I wish they'd filter them over to Celebrity.

I started this tread and still havent gotten an upgrade email, 80 days out, which seems odd to me given our cruise is nowhere close to being sold out.  We upgraded our cabin to a royal suite and the one we booked is the only one sold to date. I checked other categories and there are a ton of open cabins.  Shocked they arent trying to get some people to bid on these open cabins.

There was another mention of this on a different thread.  Our cruise is approx 85 days out;  no mail but I put in a bid using Plan My Cruise, scrolling down to 'Move Up'.  May only be for ours but....there aren't that many cabins available in any category and some are sold out (they say) so the theory it may depend on an undersold cruise isn't viable in our case.  See thread below, post #8.

We did sail on the Silhouette last year and it was in great shape other than terrible cleaning of room on boarding.

What examples of 'terrible cleaning' do you have for the Silhouette?  That was quite a list for the Millenium.  BTW....I would have parked outside the Guest Services station until they found another cabin (which I have done on a RCL ship when our cabin was disgustingly dirty, wet carpet, hanging off the rod draperies, etc).  They offered us a high end suite which was a totally different experience.  From other posts the standard line seems to be 'the ship is full', but it seems they have found other cabins for extreme cases.

I read where it had to be 30 or under to move up:

You can submit a bid for a stateroom upgrade on Celebrity Cruises' MoveUp program up to two days before your cruise departs. To be eligible for the program, you must:
    • Be eligible within 30 days of the cruise departure date
    • Opt into Celebrity Cruises' email correspondence
Celebrity Cruises will email you if your cruise is eligible for MoveUp, and the email will include a link to browse and bid on available upgrades.

I just registered for move up yesterday via 'plan my cruise', etc.......cruise is end of this Nov. so almost 3 mos. out.  No email.  No doubt the selection process won't start for another 2 mos.

The agent on the phone said it was because I was trying to fly into Rome and the cruise is out of Venice.  They could only book me on flights to Venice.

If you search for flights you want, make a note, then call FBC....they have accommodated me in the past.

No need. It's Celebrity's official policy now .

"As of January 30, 2024, Celebrity Cruises has revised the final payment dates for two categories of sailings. For cruises lasting 15 nights or more, excluding those to the Galapagos, the final payment will now be due 120 days before sailing, the former deadline was 90 days before sailing. "

Ours is a 16 (actually 17 because of the International Date Line) cruise.

I thought when you posted "All bookings on Celebrity made after 2/8/24 now have final payment at 120 days"...ALL meant ALL...including our B2B in Nov.

I did know that the longer cruises would be 120 days...not too many outside of crossings with 15 or longer.  Shouldn't have taken it for granted that yours would be.

Just take an extra bag and bring any leftovers home with you.  I am sure Iian will find something to do with them at home.

On your Booking Terms slide - Celebrity now wants final payments at 120 days vs 90 days.  This is a very recent change.

When did the 120 days final payment start?  We just booked for 2025 and it was 90 days.

Once you do hang on. Mine has been with Celebrity for over 15 years. They kept him on during covid. He said he's a workaholic.

You've mentioned this a few times.....I have a great guy who took on our account after our long term CVP 'retired'?  His initial are RW?  In the past we've also been helped by SR.  As you've said, ours is almost immediate answering emails, thorough, doesn't waste time so he handles a large slate of clients efficiently,  but still is very polite and helpful.

Seems you fired everybody up for no reason..they said 2-3 weeks, looks like less than 2 to me..

Not the OP but I did have a refund issue.  Mine was received yesterday but it took 2 months.  I think you'd agree that's a tad long to wait.

From legal, sure.  CEOs are too afraid to be sued, which is what started this, right?

Wouldn't Legal be considered part of HQ or am I on another planet?  And CEO's don't actually get sued for corporate litigation.......the company is sued and pays the bill.

OT....I'm sure busy on this site today...cool outside and just finished a round of golf!  Back to replacing lounge chairs and zip ties.  They are very uncomfortable laying flat or in fact, I don't remember if they even can lay flat...but for years I've enjoyed relaxing in a partially flexed chair which has NEVER hit the window/door.

I view Reclining seats as setting off a chain reaction.  The person reclines in front of you.  You need to recline for more space.  The person behind you then needs to recline.  etc.  etc.  It goes all the way to the poor person in the last row against the wall truly squished!  Ha Ha.😁

Dominoes!  However, there are seats which are fixed, meaning they don't recline...somewhere around the middles rows.  So more than one person gets squished...😄

maybe the best solution is for X  to remove the chairs and replace with ones that better fit the space

The reclining chairs have fit the space as long as we've sailed concierge.  The replacements are IMO kitchen chairs and very uncomfortable, not meant for lounging.
