  1. Has anyone used www.withlocals.com We are looking at the Galle Day Trip Exotic Escape. It's a 10 hr trip but we are in port from 07:00 to 19:00. Would appreciate any feed back on this Company/tour. Thank you
  2. We are calling into Airlie Beach and I would love to visit the barrier reef but don't swim. Can anyone recommend a glass bottomed boat tour that operates from or near the cruise port. Thank you
  3. Thank you for this information. Have you any idea (approx) of the price of the taxi or the private guides.
  4. We are due to call into Naples in January and want to visit Pompeii. I have looked at many private tours but they all seem to include Vesuvius or elsewhere on the Amalfi coast but Vesuvius in January doesn't really appeal. I was wondering if anyone had visited Naples and could tell me if there are likely to be taxis/private hire at the port offering a return trip to Pompeii where I presume we could hire a guide. Mike
  5. Thank you. I will take a look
  6. Hi everyone. Has anyone any recommendations for small group shore excursions to Jerusalem/Bethlehem, also Galilee, from the port of Haifa. Our ship is overnighting there so we can do both tours. Thank you
  7. Thank you so much. Great photographs. Did they get you back in "comfortable" time for the ships departure and what time did your ship arrive/depart.
  8. We have been looking at Jordan Horizons for our visit to Aqaba in Jan 2020. I hope you had a wonderful visit and would appreciate it if you could give some feedback on your experience. Also timings. At the moment our cruise is showing 08:30 to 20:30 stay but from past experience I know this isn't always exact.
  9. The Salmon Wellington is my favourite dish and I look forward to it every time we sail with Cunard. We did all 3 sections and was very disappointed that it didn't appear on the menu on the final NY-S'hampton leg.
  10. Hi Steve. Thanks for the info. Btw it was me Vera, not Anne who asked. I have now booked the 9/11Memorial and Ground Zero walking tour with 9/11 musuem. I booked it through TripAdvisor but it's supplied by Viator. Thanks again for your help.
  11. Hi Steve, It's me again. I have now found a walking tour to the 9/11 memorial and museum but the starting point is St. Paul's chapel. How far is this from the Wall Street ferry terminal. TIA
  12. Thank you for your quick response. I will now look on line to book a tour of the museum.
  13. We are on the 26 night QM2 Xmas cruise arriving in NY for the day on the 22nd December before heading for the caribbean. Being so close to Xmas we want to avoid the shops and plan to buy fast track tickets for the Ground Zero museum, planning to take the Red Hook ferry to Wall Street. My questions are: 1)How do we get from the cruise terminal to the ferry and how long will it take, and 2) what is the distance between the Wall Street ferry terminal & Ground Zero and how do we get there (is it walkable?). Thanking you in advance.
