  1. I will clarify... The first excursion IS a meal, so to the poster who said that an excursion that's only an hour and a half doesn't sound like much of an excursion, that was a harsh response when you didn't even know what the excursion was! Also, that first excursion is only a 15-minute shuttle from the ship, and we're told the shuttles run very regularly so we can return on any one we want, even an earlier one if we're ready. And the second excursion meets at a place that is a 5-minute walk from the ship. Since we will have just finished eating lunch at the first excursion, we won't be hungry so we believe we'll be okay. I've obviously looked into this a little more since I first posted my question. Thanks to all who answered helpfully.
  2. Hi, all! I have a quick question (I think!). How accurate are the posted times of the excursions you book through the cruise? I'll be in Alaska in August, and I want to do one Juneau excursion through the ship that is listed as 12:00-1:30. I then want to book another excursion right after that which is NOT with the ship, that is scheduled from 2:00-5:30. Is that too tight? Will we be okay booking both of those, or would that be too risky? Thanks in advance! Jenny
  3. We have made our dinner reservations via the Medallion App for our cruise later this month. We have the same dining room and times every day. I heard that when we get seated the first night, if we like the table and waiter, we can request the same for the rest of the cruise, and you do this by speaking with the Maitre' D. Two questions: 1) Is this how we would make that request? 2) I imagine a tip would be appropriate for the Maitre' D if he agrees to let you have that table. If so, how much? And when? When we make the request or at the end of the cruise? Thanks in advance! Jenny
  4. Hi all - I'll be on the Sky Princess in December and was wondering how many shows in the evening there will be. When we cruised in February, there was only one each evening, as they were still filling crew back up after being out during the pandemic. It was also possible because the ship was only about 50% full. Does anyone know about now? How full are the ships now, and are they back to doing 2 shows in the evening, or still just one? This will help us determine what time we should try to plan our dinners - we don't want to be in the dining room when we should be heading to the theater. Any thoughts, especially regarding the Sky Princess? Thanks in advance!
  5. UPDATE: I was finally able to make my payment, but only by calling 800-PRINCESS and having the representative take my payment over the phone. Also, I just checked again (it's now 11 hours since I tried online this morning) and it does appear to be fixed. Hopefully everyone else who was having a problem will also now be able to complete their transactions. My husband and I i will be on the Sky Princess on December 3, for our 29th cruise! Can't wait!

  7. Is anyone else experiencing problems with the Princess website - particularly the payment section? I have a cruise scheduled in December and final payment is due September 4. I've been trying for 4 days to make my payment and the site keeps telling me it can't be processed, and I should try again later. I tried multiple credit cards; I tried a different browser; I chatted online, and was told to call the Reservations Team (and given a number to call); I called the Reservations Team, and they said it couldn't be processed by them either. I asked if anyone else had reported a problem, and they said yes, they were aware of the problem and were working on it, and I should try again the next day. Not sure why they tried to take payment if they know there's a problem, but I tried again this morning, and still no luck. I REALLY want to get this resolved because i want to make my payment! Is anyone else experiencing this, or does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions? Thanks!
