  1. I am looking at Vantage and seing this: https://www.vantagetravel.com/ourjourneys/deluxe-river-cruises/european-river-cruise/rmsxx/2020/itinerary Is this not what you described?
  2. We were in a non-Haven 2 bedroom suite on the Jewel — same layout. As above the only amenity missing from the equivalent Haven suite was access to the Haven courtyard. In my mind it’s a much better deal than the Haven 2br. I don’t think that 2 adults in the second bedroom would work though. The way the bed is situated the person sleeping farthest from the door would have to climb over the other person to get out the bed.
  3. When I go to ncl.com/latitudes I get a description of the 20% off deal with a link to follow. Below that is OR then words about $100 OBC and double reward points with a separate link. The cruise that I am looking at (a 9 night Baltic on the Escape in July 2021) shows up with the 20% off link but not with the second link, which shows a short list of earlier sailings of that cruise. Does that mean the OBC and double points offer only works for sailings 2020 and earlier?
  4. We did that. It seemed like an easy alternative, $15 PP USD. We didn't want to lug our luggage over to the train station and we didn't have enough time before the flight to do any site-seeing. It may have been an atypical bad day, but it was awful. We were crammed into a room with little or no air conditioning. We waited for what seemed like 45 minutes before we were able to get on a bus. The bus ride itself was fine.

  6. In a previous one of these videos, Murray Lundberg stated that there was no pier at Icy Strait Point. It's clear that he hadn't been there in a while.
  7. For what it's worth, we went on a beat tour in Icy Strait Point and were not disappointed. We saw bears in a couple of places. We understood that it was more difficult in late May than it might be later in the season.
  8. We had no coverage in Icy Strait Point/Hoonah. The tour guide said that they had satisfactory coverage normally but when there were ships in port their coverage more or less disappeared. We were using Verizon.
  9. The current promotion of $50 deposits is for mini-suites or less. I was looking at a Haven suite on a 2021 Escape sailing and the deposit was $1500. Does NCL ever have promotions where the deposits for suites or Haven are reduced?
  10. We were on the 5/27 southbound and didn't observe issues with table hogging. We did our glacier watching from the balconies of members of our group and also from the Great Outdoors. La Cucina has long been used for overflow from the buffet, that's not an Alaska thing. The promenade deck is a great idea, hadn't thought. The Jewel is a great ship.
  11. Odd that a chain restaurant would be that hard to get into. No problem getting reservations at the closest Keg here.
  12. Unbelievable. NCL keeps raising prices and taking away amenities and there are people that want them to spend money on pins that most people would be embarrassed to wear?
  13. We did the "Wildlife and Bear Search Tour" from Alaska Shore Excursions at Icy Strait Point and were quite pleased. They also offer a "Whale and Brown Bear Combo Adventure".
  14. Wear what you want. They supply boots that go over your shoes.
