  1. In 2019 we went on a 2 week Princess Emerald Mediterranean cruise. It was wonderful, except the MDR dinner menu was the exact same for both weeks. Is this always the case? We have booked a Baltic 2 week cruise for 2025, so I was just wondering.

  2. Yes you can... rent a car on St Thomas (make sure the will allow you to go to St John), and take the car ferry out of Red Hook to St John. It's so worth it to have your own car! Depending on your time frame, I would suggest getting on the ferry back to St Thomas 2 hours before you need to. If you decide to do this, go to the National Park Visitor Center on St John and getting a map. Most things to see are one

the north shore of the island. It's doable, but some planning is needed. But better yet, go back to St. John at a later date and stay a week. Biggest 2 decisions we had any week we were there is "Where should we eat" and "What beach should we go to today?" It's a slice of heaven!

  3. We have a bunch of Fun Points left with our Carnival Cruise credit card that I have not redeemed for our Feb 24 cruise. Our next cruise is on Princess, so I am wondering if I can redeem my Fun Points for that cruise being that Princess is one of the Carnival Cruise Line brands.  Anyone know?

  4. I'm confused... we got the Carnival Mastercard, got $200 in credits. We've used the card some more and have more fun points. If we only use $200 towards Cruise credits, and have some left over, can we use the Fun Points towards another Carnival Cruise Line ( like Princess)? I called the number on the back of my card, but was put on hold and the disconnected. Any help is appreciated!

  5. We have rented a golf cart for the day to see around the island, spend some time at a few beaches, hopefully snorkel a bit, and get some lunch. Any suggestions of things we HAVE to see, do, eat are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  6. Maho is a narrow beach with calm shallow water. Sea grass out a bit, so if you're snorkeling, you'll probably see turtles. Across the road is are a few pop up shops, carry out snack bar, equipment rentals, and bathrooms. (pic is across from Maho) It is pretty sunny on the beach, also get very crowded. We were staying on island so I don't know if there is chair rentals as we brought our own. If you have never been to St John, I suggest going to Trunk Bay...more beach, snack bar, bar, few shops.

  7. We are going on an 8 day Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Magic early next year, and I have a few questions.

Is there a specialty coffee card you can buy?

    What nights are elegant nights?

Does anyone have pictures of the menus?

Guy's Burgers, the Italian place, Guy's BBQ place?  I know they are only open for lunch on sea days, but do I have to pay extra?

Is juice still served in the Lido restaurant at breakfast?

Any sushi served anywhere on the Magic?

    Thanks for any info!

  8. This is ALWAYS such a hot topic! I love reading the responses!  Do what you want, if you get caught, oh well. We have been on many cruise lines, never been taken to the naughty room. And if that happens, oh well, not the end of the world. I agree, my "smuggled" cost is 1/4 the price so I'm willing to take the chance.

  9. We are looking to do some self guided walking tours, some are listed on the gpsmycity.com... City Orientation, Via Garibaldi Palace tours, Cafes and Gelato. We would also love to do the seaside promenade walk out of Nervi. Think we need to take the train or a bus for this.  Any one have any comments or suggestions/directions?  Is this doable? We are in port from 7am-9pm in May.

    Thanks
