Anyone received an invite yet for this? And for those of you who have participated in simulation cruises on other ships, please tell what to expect. Got my invite earlier today, and will decide tomorrow if I will be able to join.
Not me. They cancelled the 12 night cruise that was supposed to start on Dec 11 was cancelled. I rebooked for Dec 31 for 8 nights but it was more money and I am still salty about it. LOL
Enjoy your free cruise.

I'm in the middle of a run of five cruises. I've asked staff on all my cruises, and only ONE asked for me to pick something up in port, and it was a very specific item. Everyone else has stated that they can get what they need in the on-board store for the crew.
However, I will tell you that when I tip a dollar for my drinks (whether my free Diamond voucher drinks or my soda package drinks), their eyes light up SO MUCH and they often even comment how much they appreciate it.
I tipped the same way in The Before Times, and I never recall seeing that same level of excitement over a single dollar bill as I've seen on these past three cruises (all on different ships, too). Before, it was just "part of the transaction" -- they'd hand back my card and I'd hand over the tip at the same time, and they'd put the tip in their pocket or in the jar on the bar... just an ordinary transaction. But the BIG reaction I'm seeing to the $1 tip these days is totally different -- it's almost like they're surprised (in a good way) that someone is actually tipping them in cash.
I always tip an extra dollar when I order a drink from the drink package that I always get. Do you think I should do cash or is on the receipt ok? I hate carrying cash but I will do it.

How many of you have been turned away for not having a PCR or Antigen yes? My sister and I are both vacc and boostered and I just found out we need a pcr or antigen test 2 days before cruise. I found out by reading SMALL print? What info do you have?
The fine print?
You mean on the healthly sail info and in the emails they send you? You might not want to take a stand on this and just get it done. People who are vaxxed and boostered are still getting it which is why it is a requirement.

Interesting, I am on the first revenue cruise on the 16th and from the Baltimore area. I wonder if they'll do another one after the one you've been offered. Lot of time between the 10th and 16th.
what is a revenue cruise? I didnt think it was sailing till Dec 23rd. We were on the dec 11th that got canceled.

they emailed mine today at exactly 30 days out.

If you booked before 9/30/2021 even your inside cabin would have gained you double points.
Oh well, Yay me!
thanks Biker!

Gain more C&A points per sailing day.
really? I had no idea. I guess i will be earning my the old fashioned way. LOL
Wow, it took me 13 years to get to diamond. Others could make it in half the time. maybe even less.
-
ok, let me get this straight. you canceled a cruise because it wouldnt give you double points?
Can someone explain double points to me? What is the benefit? I have only sailed in inside and oceanview rooms. Mostly handicapped for mom so the thought of suites is beyond me. I would rather cruise more than cruise big. the room is for sleeping and changing. Oh, and naps😁

yeah, just bring the marriage certificate. I always bring mine but no one has ever asked. I am just paranoid that they wont let me on one day.

Thanks for keeping this going Deltablue. I see they still dont care about us😜

I dont think it was done. On my planner I only see Chops as an option.
I kinda like the diamond lounge there and not in the back of the lounge on six but i get it, it is a money maker.

Cru1s1ng2009...would love to have Cory with us on Enchantment. I met him when he first came aboard Grandeur to shadow John Blair before he took over. Though he was not working that cruise, we interacted a few times and I got a very good vibe from him. Unfortunately for us, I think he's been kicked up to the bigger ships. Still hoping we get someone good for the Baltimore runs.
Yes, I hope we get someone good.

Does anyone know if Wonderland is included in that package? I thought I had read somewhere that it was excluded but when I bought it yesterday I didn't see anywhere where it said it was or was not included. The only caveat I saw was that teppanyaki was an extra $10 pp and that Chef's Table and taste of royal and maybe another was excluded.
what is Tappanyaki?

Had you previously apply the FCPC code to this sailing? If not, that is what you need to do
Crisis averted. this is exactly what happened. I feel so much better and everything is booked.

OK I could reply with the same facts over & over, I am done with this bickering. I have posted what I want: A warning to those who might be thinking of booking a RCCL cruise. People are free to believe it or not. Informed consumers are a good thing. Cheers!
suggestion. Is it too late to check for a price drop? someone said that the price is dirt cheap. Maybe try getting a decent price drop to augment the cost of the excursions? something like that can make the price of the excursions more palatable.
regardless, you are one and done, I get it. I feel the same way about Carnival. But that doesnt mean i didnt enjoy my one carnival cruise. Make the best of it is my point. I am so excited to get out of the country and see blue water that I cant stand it. You are also going on a beautiful ship.

What kind of OBC is it? Did your TA give it to you?
If it is share holder credit or purchased/gift credit you should see it in your planner at the top of page.
If it is promotional or OBC from your TA it will not show until day 1 or day 2 of trip.
Good Luck (you can check your original invoice and it should say type of OBC it is)
it was 125% OBC from another cruise getting canceled.
I just get so freaked out over RCCI Math.

Wow wish I could get the beach club for 54 mine is 88
I was wrong, it is $78. Still worth it. It was still being built the last time I was there.
-
SO I am trying to take advantage of the sales today and am booking dbp, soda, coco beach club and a pic package. There is no OBC listed and i am freaking out. My last 2 hour call to RCCI gave me so much anxiety that while I am currently waiting on hold, my anxiety is going up every minute. My only option is to use a credit card. is there something i am not seeing?
-
the dbp for my NYE cruise is down to $56 for this sale. I am just going to pull the trigger. I guess those $44 days are a thing of the past. The soda package is $6.49 and the coco beach club is 50% off at $54..
