    Port pass

I've been to Costa Maya often, but never heard of this pass. Where did you get it and was it worth it?
  3. Add us to the "too cool for me group". Walked into ocean at Chill Island up to my knees and then right out. Enjoyed the sun and warmth, but didn't use the ocean or pool. We were just there on 12-10-19. Lori
  4. Instead of a standard lanyards we use an alligator-type clip with a decorative badge holder and stretchy string and clear plastic sleeve. Our key card goes into the plastic sleeve, thereby making both sides of the key card visible and scan-able. Can be found in most dollar stores or office supply stores.
  5. Not trying to hijack this thread, but I have a free cruise booked thru Club Royale (one of several really) on Dec.9th on the Mariner. One of the holiday perks is a "hosted gift exchange", but we have no other info on this. Anyone else have this perk or know anything about it? 🎅 TIA Lori
  6. Good afternoon all. We are considering a cruise to Alaska next year. What itinerary would you choose? Cruise from Vancouver- north & returning from Seward; Seward- south returning; from Vancouver; RT from Seattle; Seattle-north returning from Vancouver; or Vancouver-north returning from Seward. Or would you pick by ship: Radiance OTS, Serenade OTS or Ovation OTS? Thanks for any info or opinions. Lori
  7. I am assuming this is a port stop. What are your travel plans to and from the parks? If the ship docks at 1:00, figure a 1/2 hour to debark and then transport. Driving time is about 1 hour, but if you are planning to rent a car, it will be quite a time getting the car, and you will need to plan time to return the rental. If you plan to take RCCL transfers to the park, they usually wait for the bus to fill. So all in all you might have from 2:30-3:00 (at the earliest) until about 8:00 pm (at the latest) in the parks. I've done it, but with 9:00 am arrival with a 10 pm departure using RCCL transfers. A fun day for sure, but I personally would be watching the time all afternoon so as not to miss the ship departure. Good luck whatever you choose.
  8. I'd choose the itinerary with Bonaire. We rented a golf cart and drove all over the island. We loved it, especially the donkey sanctuary and the beaches. With the golf cart we could spend as much time as we wanted wherever we stopped.
  9. We are traveling to FLL in September to cruise on the Allure of the Seas. In the past we have had both good and bad experiences at various hotels, but have not cruised from FLL in the recent past. Do you have any recommendations for us? We are 4 adults, no children and arriving about 6:30 pm the night before our cruise, so a safe, clean and reasonable hotel with easy access to dining. Thanks for any assistance.
  10. We have just been informed that our time in San Juan, PR will be shortened to 7:00 am to 1:00 PM. Any suggestions for touring? We are all Sr.citizens ages 60-93, with 2 on medical scooters. TIA
  11. I never knew that Junior Suite passengers could dine at Coastal Kitchen. What ships have this restaurant? We are booked on 3 more cruises this year (went on the Majesty to Havana in January), all in Junior Suites. Would like to try Coastal Kitchen, if available, on at least one of our future cruises. Thanks for any help. Lori
  12. We are on the Brilliance OTS in April. We return April 29 and then will spend a few days in St. Pete Beach. We need to get a rental car for 3 days. Any info on rental cars near the port with return to the airport or transfers to the airport to get a rental car there would be helpful. TIA, Lori
  13. Thanks for the quick reply. We decided on the Allure specifically for Mama Mia! Thanks again.
  14. We are trying to decide on a cruise for September or October 2019, and would like to know what ships have Broadway at Sea. We can be very flexible about where the ship goes and what weeks to travel. TIA for any help.
  15. It looks like the RCCL website has been update with plans & maps depicting what's in store for a "Perfect Day at Coco Cay". Looks amazing, now hope it will be all open and accessible for our cruises in 2019. Lori
