This is huge problem , since many people do fly in the day before. If your cruise is a Monday, you would test Saturday and fly tp port on Sunday. You will not get the results.
Test day is day zero.
so if you sail on Monday. Test Friday. Easy pisy -

I read this to mean that if I’m sailing Saturday, I would need to test on Wednesday, with Saturday being the 3rd day after testing.
It’s my understanding that test day is day zero.
im trying to verify it with Carnival. However when we flew out of country test day was day zero -

It's about 25 miles. Probably around 30-40 minutes if there are no accidents on the way
Thanks. LOL. I talking about how long the ship takes.

About how long does it take to get from the port to the Bridge.
Thanks -

We are doing a 7 day cruise from Tampa to Mahogany Bay, Belize, Cozumel & Grand Cayman. DW & I was talking about this last week and figured they would add a sea day or Costa Maya. Who knows at he moment.

You can definitely order from room service once on board, we have done that in the past when my dad decided one bottle was not enough! The issue the OP and I both have is…can you order something from room service that does not show up on the pre-order menu?
It worries me that they have removed Crown from the pre-order menu…
Things may have changed but we have ordered bottle that was different from the pre order menu.
As long as carnival stocked it in surplus. My friend got a high end bottle of cognac.

So not to start new thread. How long before the cruise do you all send the information in?

I live in Florida so pre Covid I could sail to islands at will I can drive to the beach in 15 minutes.
I would think it would be cool to do a Great Lakes cruise.
It would be like European’s won’t cruise in Europe because they could drive or take a fast train.- 1

In Canada we have 3 vaccines - Moderna, Pfizer, and Astra Zeneca.
Our deployment has been a disaster so people who got Moderna of Pfizer as their first are getting the other as their second.
Three months into giving out Astra Zeneca to those 40 and over (I'm 43) they decided it was unsafe and told us our only option for a second dose was Moderna or Pfizer. They then changed their minds and let some people get Astra Zeneca as their second dose.
We do not have J and J here, at least not for the regular public to book an appointment.
Got ya. Makes since. Mod, Pfi, & JJ we’re the 3 I was familiar with. I just hope all this crap is over sooner rather than later.

The specific mix of Pfizer and Moderna are acceptable.
The mix of any other combo is not acceptable. As it says:
All other vaccines in a 2-dose series are required to be of the same type.
So the poster, who got AZ first, and then something else as second shot, is not considered vaccinated in Carnival's eyes. I suppose because neither the FDA nor WHO have recognized whether that combo has similar efficacy (though it probably does).
I’m stupid. I thought there was only 3 vaccines. I didn’t know there was more.

Is it acceptable that I received a Pfizer vaccine as my first dose and Moderna as my second?
Pfizer and Moderna can be mixed to complete a full vaccination series. All other vaccines in a 2-dose series are required to be of the same type.
Well that sucks... In Ontario, Canada, a pile of people (including me) were given Astra Zeneca as their first dose and given Moderna or Pfizer as their second.
Reading that statement suggests that I am not vaccinated in the eyes of Carnival.
I read it differently. Sounds to me the mix is acceptable

Not sure this matters but we have the Carnival Pride booked for Nov 14. As of now everything is a go.
-
The reason Carnival suggest passports be 6 months from expiration is because that is a requirement in a lot of countries visited by carnival. So if you would have to fly home know the rules of the county you will visit.

Does anyone have a good idea of whether Pride will begin sailing Sept. 5 or Sept. 12? We're booked on Sept. 12 and if it's the restart cruise out of Baltimore I'm wondering if we'll get some of the extra giveaway goodies recent cruisers posted about on other "re-inauguration" cruises.
I read this on another cruise web site. Looks good I hope it’s correct

I was wondering if anyone read or seen information on being allowed to still bing wine and soda/pop on board.

You don't pay a delivery fee on freebies, do you? Many people don't bother to tip, either.
I see. Since I pay for delivery it’s much safer.
