We went to Cas Abho and it was awesome. The water is beautiful. Plenty of chairs to rent. The beach is a little rocky but once in the water nice sandy bottom. We got massages that were right at the shoreline and super relaxing. They have food and drinks available. The day we were there was really busy so be patient. We are headed back there on our next cruise.

So sorry I didn't see your reply. No we had to take a taxi to the marina. It was about a 15 min drive. The taxi driver gave us his card and he came back and picked us up after we were done. I cant remember how much extra it was because we had more people and added the Charcuterie upgrade. I think for 4 hours , 8 people and the upgraded food it was $1200. They were super easy to work with and it was our best day. The best place was the 7 shades of blue for snorkeling. The waves were a little rough the day we were there but they got us in a good position to snorkel and feel safe.

We are traveling to Cozumel in September and have someone traveling with us with limited mobility. They could walk short distances but will require a wheelchair for the longer walks ( to the taxi stand, through the port maybe from the taxi to the lounge chairs etc) It has been awhile since we have been. We are considering Paradise Beach, Mr Sanchos, or Nachi Cocoum. Does anyone have experience or recommendation with these spots and limited mobility?

Thank you so much for this. We have never been and thought this might be a great way to see the Canal. I am not sure of a bus ride though so I may need to check in to this further. Thanks again !

We have a carnival Journey cruise booked for March of 2025. Since they do not go through (or part way through) the canal anymore we thought this might be an interesting way to see the locks and the Canal. Has anyone done this or have any opinions?

I had the Seabourn too but no Carnival.

We just booked the Venezia Panama Canal Journey cruise for next year. it is to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we are so looking forward to it. Longest before this was 8 nights. This cruise will be the first time on a journey cruise, first 14 day, first on this ship and first to Panama Canal. So Excited !!!!!!!!!

CELEBRATION !!! We just came off the Horizon in January. We heard nothing but awesome things from previous guests as well as previous employees. They all say Horizon was their favorite. I have to say it was the worst guest experience we had. The staff we encountered in multiple areas were rude, unfriendly and just didn't care.

We are looking at a family trip on the Celebration and would like to get balcony cabins in a row. I know that the partitions open up but do they on the extended side balconies?

I thought the new additions were really good. I too enjoyed the Emeril's selections Chicken Roulade and Chicken Cordon Blue were very good.

We sailed the 1st week of January 2024 and had a stop in Aruba. We wanted to see Aruba from the water. We chartered with Missy's Private Watersports. Missy and Mark were the most gracious hosts and super fun. We had a fantastic time and the charter was well worth the money. They usually do 3 hour charters but we booked them for 4 hours and added their upgraded Charcuterie tray and sandwiches. The food was excellent. They also made their own rum punch which was delicious and went down way to smoothly. They took us to the seven Shades of Blue for us to swim and snorkel. they provided all the equipment. Then we went to a cove with a beach club for some calmer water. I highly Highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed.

UPDATE: I wanted to thank everyone for their advice. The charter company sent us a bill on Monday but we were already on the cruise.so i didn't see it until the morning of the excursion (Wednesday). We had excellent weather and sent the money right over. They were so excited to see us and we had the absolute best time. The charter was the highlight of our cruise.

The deposit was $200 and I would totally understand if the ship missed the port or something happened and we were unable to make it that they keep that. I believe someone mentioned that these types of charters are for people vacationing in Aruba. I made the deposit and then got an email from them stating that for "cruise passengers" they bill one week out. I had an awesome conversation prior to the invoice and the reviews are phenomenal. I truly think it will not be a problem but the remaining amount is $1000 so to be out $1200 is a little scary if something beyond my control happens. We are checking with our credit card company to see if they would cover with the trip cancellation/interruption coverage.

Thank you all for the suggestions. The reviews and the people at the vendor were all so positive that I have to believe we will be fine but with so much at risk I am getting very leery.

We are traveling on the Horizon January 6th cruise to the ABC's. We booked a private charter boat and the website said deposit due at booking and then remainder paid in cash at arrival. Once we booked it, I received an email from the boat that they would send us an invoice 1 week prior to and full payment would be due. In the email he said that the fare was non-refundable even if the ship changes itinerary or is not able to reach the island. I questioned it at first but then thought what are the odds, but now we are getting closer and I am nervous. It is in Aruba and I have never been. My questions are: do you think this is normal, has anyone done this, how often does the ship miss Aruba?

My institution is not on the Plaid platform yet. So do we just email like normal then ?

I have never been to La Romana but have been to Amber Cove many times. Which did you like better? They seem pretty similar.

Are there any vendors for drinks or food ?

We are taking an 8 day cruise on the Horizon in January and would like to make some reservations at the pay restaurants. Our cruise is a Saturday to Sunday. Can someone please tell me which nights are the formal nights ?

We were on the 9/17 Celebration cruise and I completely agree. She was by far the best female entertainer I have seen on any cruise ship. She is amazing. I don't know her name but did mention her in my Carnival Survey. Hopefully it gets back to her.
