Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. There is an article in Forbes that is addressing this matter. I can’t figure out how to link it. It is very well explained and conveys the information I attempted to get across in creating this post. Again, my thanks to those who understand the issue.
  2. As of today there has been no change to the pricing policy for charging singles quite a bit more than the price of two guests. I do not understand their reasoning and there has been no further contact from the executive office regarding ostracizing singles. It is extremely frustrating. So now the result is messing up their inventory for cruises. Thanks to all who understood the issue.
  3. Thanks for checking the UK site. That is more inline with the normal pricing. I am trying to access the website while on board and will go to future cruise to see if the issue has been resolved. Thanks to all who understood the issue.
  4. Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, both pricing were NRD and no perks so I was trying not to put down 2 deposits to possibly lose and mess with the inventory. I was trying to book now due to the cruises having the best pricing since they were just released. It is on a Millennium class ship so single room was not an option. This is the first time that it was not quoted the same price as if 2 guests were booking. Possibly as more singles try to book it will get their attention and create more conversations with Celebrity.
  5. Under the current sale of 75% off second guest singles are being charged 200%. As an example 2 guests on a sailing may be $5000 total. Changing the number of guests to 1, the total is close to $9000. Traveling as single most of the time I know we do wind up paying for two. But shouldn’t singles be paying the same (minus taxes and port fees) as 2 guests🤔 Does anyone else see the confusion? Yes, I have asked onboard sales who stated they brought it up to shoreside and the answer was there is no glitch in the system. I have contacted the main office and was told the sale is for double occupancy. So is Celebrity trying to get rid of us singles!
  6. Since my login was the same for Royal and Celebrity has anyone had to create a new login to access the reservations?
  7. I was on last cruise it was self serve in the buffet. Not enough staff!
  8. While on the Equinox last week I worked with the App person trying to figure out why I was having the same issue as the OP. My June Infinity and Sept Eclipse and many more after have the similar issue. He blamed it on the different ships technology and wifi onboard the EQ. When he went thru a different phone which had a VPN all of my cruises showed correctly. The funniest thing was one of the issues was for a Millie cruise, and it had worked fine in March! Needless to say, when I returned home I am still having the same issue and I have used 5G and home wifi. I still get the same error message.
  9. At the beginning of the 7 pm and 9 pm shows on Friday Captain Matt announced there were 5 guests positive and 3 crew had tested positive while in Grand Cayman during the weekly testing. Some crew were missing due to contact tracing also.
  10. I am onboard also and a frequent visitor to WCB. My understanding is it is Z’s turn to open the bar and Isaiah starts at 5:30. So if he shows up at at 5:20 he is actually early for his shift!
