  1. Just a very few photos of Fakarava. The primary settlement and tender landing is the landing of Rotoava: This is the beach on the Pacific Ocean: The population is under 1,000 and there were a few stores, mostly offering non-perishable food as well as a primary school: Roy
  2. Thank you Rich, Sandi, Vanessa, Eva, Ann, Dixie and Graham/Father David for the FR&D I like all 3 of today’s days. Special prayers for Jacaui Ann, Pat, Terri, Jim, Melissa, Chuck, Annie and Tana with Annie and Chuck at the top of the list. Happy Birthday @Cruzin Terri. Welcome home @dobiemom and @LAFFNVEGAS, Bon Voyage @richwmn, @lindaler @Seasick Sailor and @USN59-79, I like the Marquis quote. I visited Fakarava on the Crystal Symphony in 2018 Two great days in history, especially the one in 1905 Not comvinced on the eggplant but like Chicken Parm. My alternative is on hiatus until late September. . Main plan item for today is AV duty in church. Roy
  3. I have a sunset today rather than a sunrise. It's from my 2016 Crystal Serenity Northwest Passage cruise. August 31 was a sea day from Cambridge Bay to Pond Inlet: Roy

Special prayers for Jacaui Ann, Pat, Terri, Jim, Melissa, Chuck, Annie and Tana with Annie and Chuck at the top of the list. I like the Cicero quote... I have not been to Cicero A great day for cinema but a very tragic one 100 years kater, I wonder, though, if cinema had not been invented would Diana still be with us.. I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is on hiatus until late September. . Church mens group on Zoom this morning and UPS, Fire House, and Grocery this afternoon... Roy
  6. No, it has been Rotterdam with redesigned lifeboat mounts: Perhaps they were able to refit the other 2 ships with the new mounts but I wasn't expecting it. Roy
  7. I hope I'm not getting into a controversial area here but there are very few ships that regularly carry priests. The only ones I know of are HAL (but apparently not all cruises), Queen Mary 2, and Crystal but like anything in life there are no guaranties. Crystal Serenity left Los Angeles Tuesday on a 17-day Panama Canal cruise Los Angeles to New York. The first night out, just a few hours out of Los Angeles, the ship had to turn back for a medical evacuation (yup, the Priest), They are trying to arrange a last minute substitute to join the ship somewhere, but not yet. Quite a turnaround, prayers for the Priest. Roy
  8. Today's sunrise is from a 2012 round trip transatlantic, New York to Southampton on QM2 and returning on Crystal Symphony from Dover. August 29 was the second morning out of New York: Roy

Special prayers for Jacaui Ann, Pat, Terri, Jim, Melissa, Chuck, Annie and Tana with Annie and Chuck at the top of the list. I like the Rich quote... I have not been to Almeria I’ll take a bit of local pride in the day in 1967 as an adopted Marylander. While I never actually lived in Baltimore City, in 1967 the alley behind my apartment was on the city line. I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is on hiatus until late September. . Today will be pretty wet. PT and Wegmans today but Wegmans has a garage with a covered walkway to the store entrance.. Roy

Special prayers for Ann, Pat, Terri, Jim, Melissa, Chuck, Annie and Tana with Annie and Chuck at the top of the list. I agree with today’s quote but those of us who can need to be mindful of the less fortunate.. I visited Tauranga on the Crystal Symphony in 2018.. A great day for Brazil but a sad one for music. I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is on hiatus until late September. . Fire house this afternoon and av practice for church this evening.. Roy
  14. Quick memories of my 4 visits to Castries. The first, 2012 on Celebrity Summit, was on my nephew's very family oriented honeymoon cruise, 7 days immediately following their wedding in San Juan. 2013 on MS Prinsendam was on the way to the Amazon out of Manaus. The Amsterdam in 2014 was not supposed to be but became a replacement when stops in Africa were cancelled due to Ebola. Grandeur of the Seas was what I dubbed the "Voyage of the Saints" out of Baltimore--St. Croix, St. Johns, Antigua, St. Lucia, St Kitts, and St. Maarten, every port a Saint. Roy
  15. Today's sunrise is from the same trip as the photo from my cousin's farm. I returned from Montreal August 27-28, spending the night August 27 in Poughkeepsie as the train to New York arrives too late for a reliable connection to Baltimore. This sunrise is from Poughkeepsie August 28, 2015: Roy

  17. Happy Hump Day. Thank you Rich, Sandi, Vanessa, Eva, Ann, and Dixie for the FR&D I like all 3 of today’s days. Special prayers for Ann, Pat, Terri, Jim, Melissa, Chuck, Annie and Tana with Annie and Chuck at the top of the list. I question today’s quote. I have .been to Castries 4 times, 2012 on Celebrity Summit, 2013 on MS Prinsendam, 2014 on MS Amsterdam, and 2018 on Grandeur of the Seas. Both of today’s days in history are fairly close to me.. Despite Maryland being my home for the last almost 60 years I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is a custom lido omelet (my choice is ham and bacon) from my final meal on MS Statendam arriving in Vancouver . No specific commitments today but this afternoon will be the usual combination of UPS, Fire House, and my primary grocery store.. It will be very hot and humid. Roy
  18. Nothing particularly surprising from my appointments this morning. Roy
  19. I don't have a travel sunrise for August 27. This was taken one year agi this morning on my street about 500 feet down from my house. Roy

  21. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, EVA, Ann, and Dixie for the FR&D I like all 3 of today’s days. Special prayers for Ann, Pat, Terri, Jim, Melissa, Chuck, Annie and Tana with Annie and Chuck at the top of the list. I don’t agree with today’s quote. I have not been to Kusadasi. Sadly, the Kellogg-Briand Pact did not last long. Carrot dog?. My alternative is Lebanese Lamb Shank and Baked Alaska as served on MS Veendam August 23, 2014. . PFT and pulmonologist this morning., followed by my weekly visit to one of my more distant grocery stores but back home much later than normal.. Roy
  22. Today's sunrise is from a 2015 trip with a Blount cruise from Maine to New Brunswick. After a few cruise i spent a couple days with my cousin south of Montreal and this was taken on their farm: Roy
