You lose the bet. Been on over 50 NCL cruises and 30 in Alaska. Been through many situations during my journeys. No need to panic. NCL are professionals. In fact I'm glad we missed Skagway. That place is fake anyway. And slowly creeping through Icy Strait in perfect weather was a dream come true. Lots of wildlife.✌️

Nothing to report. Received Freestyle Daily for today and it seems like we are back on schedule. Schedule to leave Juneau at 2. Maybe only little damage done. But who knows. ✌️

On the Sun. Entering Hubbard glacier yesterday in heavy fog I think we hit iceberg. Woke up this morning entering Icy Strait at a snail's pace. Should be in Skagway now. Just creeping along towards Juneau. Ship to arrive around 5pm to send divers to look at damage. Who knows what journey lies ahead.✌️

Just wish that the cruise next mgr would have explained it better to me instead of playing a power trip with me.✌️

Currently on the Sun but before the cruise l received an upgrade bid offer on a balcony. Ask me on the offer would you like to use a cruise certificate. Highlighted yes. My offer was accepted day before cruise. Cruise next certificate not applied. So I will try to fix on the ship. I have had concerns taken care of during a cruises before. So I brought the attention to the Cruise Next manager. She said I could not apply it with no reason. I said but what about the promotion. Second response flat out no. She would not even call corporate for an explanation. If NCl current promotion is two cruise next can be used with any balcony purchase. Wouldn't you think I could use my second certificate when it was even offered during the upgrade offer. Asking for options ✌️

No answer on my OBC before the cruise so l brought my paperwork on my cruise. Had guest service send to corporate.. Applied on day three. All is well ✌️

So what you gonna do? Deal or no deal.✌️

I glad I do not cruise for food. I eat what is available. Itinerary and value it why I cruise. And Carnival got me again. Doing the same cruise to Alaska on the Splendor. Itinerary is Alaska. Enough said if you have been there. Value: how does $350 total for a solo for a seven day with a window. Sure I have to pay tips but my $200 of OBC should cover that with a little extra. So as long Carnival will be friendly with solo cruisers, I can live with bacon every other day.✌️

If you have cruised in a haven before go for it. It's only money. Up your bid. Who knows when opportunity will knock again.✌️

Thank you. Yours is the only current 2022 report on Hubbard. All other responses are more than two years old are just guesses. And the Alaskan season is two months old. I have been to Hubbard Glacier over 10 times and ideal viewing was been less that 50%. And on one special time was able to see multiple glacier calving. Fog, ice field, captains knowledge of the area are all factors for poor viewing. Hopefully the NCL Sun will get close later this month. And what are these tours of Hubbard glacier that people are talking about? Where do they start from?✌️

I did Tracy Arm (Sawyer glacier) two weeks ago and unless you took a private tour you saw nothing. Anyone getting close to Hubbard? Will be there in three weeks.✌️

I do not choose food when booking a cruise. Itinerary, value and customer service is why I cruise. If you can book less than two months out, Alaska seems to be very competitive. If you have to plan I would not know. I am a last minute cruiser. I tried Carnival for the first time 10 years on the Panorama in January. Have since cruised on the Spirit and Splendor. If it wasn't for the VIFP price I wouldn't have tried. There was nothing different between the ships. Red, white, blue and blaaaaaaaa. Had a great cruises and I like Walmart, but I will prefer to cruise other cruise lines.

Princess vs Carnival

I'm back. On the Splendor. Every other day for bacon on the buffet. And their presentation needs something. So bland. Oh well. It is what it is. If it wasn't for the destination and the price of the cruise, Carnival no more. But next week I'm on the COVID ship Spirit.✌️

I have been on seven cruises since the restart in October. Carnival, NCL, Celebrity and Princess. Not one of them was over 60% capacity. Cruising on the Splendor and Spirit in May. Both say "sold out". I will doubt that. I think at best both ships will be at 75% capacity. Probably will depend on how long a ship has been back in service. Both the Splendor and Spirit are basically starting over. But it really doesn't matter. I have never given capacity a though when booking a cruise. It's all about the journey.✌️
