There have been numerous discussions re tips here on Carnival this year. A quick search brought up these two rather lengthy ones that illustrate the many opinions on this rather hot topic.

Had port call in Gythion many years ago. Many opted for tour to Sparta but we stayed in this charming old sea side town and had a wonderful day. Bought fresh baklava and sat on part of the wall of a castle built before the Crusades eating baklava and imagining the harbor centuries ago. Watched octopus fisherman come in. We loved this day watching life go by as it has there for ages

It's fixed!!

There appears to be information on some of these ports on the Panama Canal board.

Some Canal cruises have port calls in Colombia and there is a separate board for Colombia in the ports of çall board.

6 year old thread probably could be updated? 

My son lives in Roatan part time and checked with his property manager. Bodden Tours has a booth at entrance from port area but most of his tours are prebooked. Victor Bodden wasn't involved in this unfortunate incident but there is another company who has a guide named Victor. We have booked with Bodden since 2010 and safety is of utmost importance.

What port are you referring to?

So much can change between now and March. No protocols to worry about at present for your cruise so will mark this asked and answered! If that changes rest assured it will be all over these boards!

My son has a home in Roatan. He goes to more out of the way places for snorkeling etc especially when cruise ships are in...all the tourist beaches and the the traffic are a nightmare if several ships are in. I guess if snorkeling is a must and no other ports you have are good for snorkeling it might ge worth an excursions to do that but for a family Mahogany Bay has all you need and you don't have to add travel time to enjoy it !

Been staying at Chateau d' Pierre across the park from Chateau Frontenac for 40 years. Great location, charming not far from port. Love this city!
