Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Hi there, We re on the Navigator in November, pre-cruise in Barcelona is at the Sofia, which has now become The Hyatt Regency. Sounds very nice. Hope it is. We are Arlette and Murray Rose from London. The cruise is from Barcelona to Miami.
  2. Thanks John, for your help. We are both disabled, so decided that CPS was the best option, as my husband uses a mobility scooter and I am his carer, we have to sort things out asap.
  3. Hi Host Hattie Thanks for your reply, so do I understand that the complimentary passport is only on QM2 or on both QE and QV its all getting a little confusing. Perhaps I'll just wait till on board then all will be revealed. Regards Arlette (Lady of the Nile)
  4. Hi we were told CPS is the only company who can actually drive into the terminal. All others have to drive elsewhere, then you may have to take a bus in. I don't know, we were given "complimentary car parking" the price jumped by about £70.00 in a few minutes, we were going to opt out, but decided to take up Cunard's offer. Hope you get sorted and have a great cruise.
  5. Hi, I don't think that you can do that any more, I maybe wrong, but ever since the security has been heightened they have been stopped. However, it may be worth checking. It may be worth arriving early, check in and have a mooch around the airport, I know that sounds boring, but there is always the airport lounge for a couple of hours, it is chargeable, unless you have a card.
  6. Hi Victoria 2 Thanks for the pop up advice. On another note, does anyone on here, know if moving from the very front of the ship (accessible cabin) to a mid-ship if available is worth an extra nearly £500.00 for the two of us. I called them the other day as there has been a big price drop but they said "if I wanted to re-book, I would lose the deposit, plus other things. So I left it. Typical, if you book too early you "save" but then it drops, or you book "late saver" and nothing available. Thanks for your help, everyone. From: Lady of the Nile (Arlette and Murray) from UK.
  7. Hi there, can anyone answer this question, years ago when we went on the QM, if we had a treatment in the Spa, that enabled you to use the Spa for a day without having a pass. Maybe its wishful thinking that still happens. I feel nickel and dimed here a little bit. Yes we have obc as World Club, and 45 minutes of WIFI which I don't want, but I was told, that I can't cash it in for anything else. Thanks for any advice. Going on QV in August round Briitish Isles, but not much information on that i.e. Lido Evening Restaurant.
  8. Thanks so much for your reply. Whenever I call Cunard, I get "well I don't know" or "I haven't heard about that". I am stressing before sailing, we are both elderly and disabled, so we need to know everything before even going out the door. So as I said thank you again. Happy Sailing to one and all.
  9. Hi upon reading the above, we are sailing (hopefully) on Queen Victoria 20th August for 12 days round the British Isles, does anyone know the Covid protocol on here. We are in the process of booking our 6th Vaccination. We both had Covid back in March, are the tests done at home adequate? They charge £50 plus here for a test if you go into a travel agency., some even more. Which is outrageous. That's £100 for two and more for a family. If anyone can help, thanks in advance. Username: Lady of the Nile.
  10. Hi there, we are booked on Queen Victoria 20th August round the British Isles, they sent us a plan, then it said you can't book anything yet, until 14 days prior to your sailing. Just wondering if the Lido Alternative evenings, have anything for this cruise. My husband loves Indian food, would you know if they do that. Any advice would help. Thanks, I am Lady of the Nile from U.K.
  11. Hi there, thanks for getting back to me. Looking forward to meeting you on board too. We are up on deck 6 in 6002, right at the front. We haven't been away for a long time now, so this should be something different. I hope to get into the roll call now, to "meet" fellow passengers and new friends.
  12. Hello, we are going on QV in August, sorry if this post is not an answer to anything, but I have been trying to find a Roll Call for 20th August to no avail, I don't know how to start a post. Glad you liked QV I started to read reviews, best stop now and form our own opinions, we have been on QM and QE2 and various other cruise lines. Thanks for any help you can give us. We are Murray and Arlette from the UK.
  13. Hi we are also World Members, we live in the U.K. and have booked a cruise on Queen Victoria around the British Isles for August. Sorry to bother you, but we cannot find the roll call for this, or able to ask any questions. If you could help, I would be grateful. Our names are: Arlette and Murray from London, England.
