  1. Do the extended balcony staterooms on Vista come with lounge chairs (like they now have on Marina and Riviera)?
  2. La Reserve is still not showing as available for booking on our Riviera cruise beginning Dec 29. I called Oceania and was told they could not book it either, as it wasn’t showing on their schedule. Hopefully we can book it once on board.
  3. Do both people have to book the minimum number of tours to get the 25% reduction? My husband booked the minimum, but I have not, and he has not been given the reduction.
  4. Hey, everyone! We just received our refund today, $2000+ paid back to our credit card. This was the amount American Airlines refunded to Regent from our downgraded flights. So Regent is now back in our good graces, and we will definitely consider booking another cruise with them. Thanks to everyone who sent suggestions and comments.
  5. I have just received an email from Guest Relations, thanking me for my email and for “providing documentation in reference to your downgraded flights”. I attached copies of the refund emails we received from American Airlines. It appears now that we will be receiving the refunds, and they are being processed by their accounting department. I’ll post here when we receive them. So it seems if you ask nicely and provide proof that the refunds were addressed to you, Regent will give them to you.
  6. I sent an email to jteegan@rssc.com, but received a failed delivery response, incorrect address. Perhaps she is no longer working for Regent? I copied to guest relations, so at least they received it.
  7. Who is Jennifer Teegen, and how can I find an email address for her? I can’t seem to find any information on Regent’s management.
  8. My travel agent contacted Regent on our behalf, but Regent claims it is an issue with the airline, and not Regent. They said it was not their responsibility, and they would not be passing the refund on to us. We will not be taking any more Regent cruises.
  9. We have not contacted Regent directly, as we booked through a trusted travel agent, and I have sent all the information to her. I am waiting to find out if she can get the refund sent to us. If not, we will not book with Regent again. I’ll post the results when I find out the outcome.
  10. We just returned from our first Regent cruise, around South America on Regent Voyager. One of the main reasons we booked with Regent was that they promised business class seats on overseas flights. Our flights from Toronto to Santiago were fine. However, when we arrived at the airport in Buenos Aires for our return flight, American Airways told us we had been downgraded to economy because they changed to a smaller plane and didn’t have enough business class seats. There were several Regent passengers who were downgraded. After much protest we were put in premium economy, but for a 10 1/2 hour flight, that still was not very comfortable, and my legs were swollen for days after we got home. On Monday we received an email from American Airways that a refund of $1062 each was being sent to Regent. I would hope that will be passed on to us as we ultimately paid for it as part of our cruise fare. By the way, we did check in online, with seats in business class, several hours before we went to the airport, but that didn’t seem to make any difference to them.
  11. We are on the Feb 17 South America cruise, and we received our cruise documents, luggage tags, etc. two or three weeks ago, delivered to our house. We live in Nova Scotia, Canada. See you on the cruise.
