Great. thanks for your reply.

thanks for this question. We have "plus" package, and we sail in 17 days. We have not received our medallions yet. I can't remember seeing anything about a cost to ship them. When should we expect the medallions? If they don't arrive before we leave, I am sure we can get them at the port, but I like having them in hand before. thanks Kaye

Do they still have free headphones that they give you in the sanctuary? A few years ago, we got Bose Headphones in the Sanctuary with free music. There was a nice variety of music to pick from. Hope they still have this available. Thanks Kaye

Churches by cruise port for Easter
curlybelle2 replied to curlybelle2's topic in St. Martin/St. Maarten
Great thank you! Is the Methodist Church walkable from the cruise port? -
Free fitness classes for "mature" folks?
curlybelle2 replied to rodndonna's topic in Princess Cruises
I just had knee replacement surgery in January, and we are cruising the end of March. I was hoping to use a stationary bike to help with my recovery. I am so disappointed to hear Princess doesn't have stationary bikes. I need to start looking for an alternative plan. 😞 -
Thanks for the pictures. I love the decorations with the eggs. But the life size bunnies look a little crazy. 🙂

What churches are there by the cruise port that we can go to for Easter? Walking distance or take a taxi? Thanks, Kaye

thanks for the reply. I was hoping for a service of some sort. I will have to wait and see.

This will be our first time on a cruise during Easter. Does Princess decorate for Easter or do anything special? Are there any church services on Easter? Thanks, Kaye

Thanks everyone. I think I will just ask at the dining venue we go to. If we have to, we will just pay the extra price for his meal. I was thinking of going to the pub venue (can't remember the name of the restaurant) for the fish and chips on the Enchanted for something different.

Thank you for replies. Our son is an adult, but he is autistic and has cerebral palsy. He needs to be with us. We just wanted to try a casual dining but didn't know how to go about it.

We have three of us in our cabin. My husband and myself have the plus package but our son does not. Son is an adult. How do we handle going to a casual dining? Silly question but can we bring in food for son from another dining venue? (pizza, french fries) Thanks, Kaye

Has anyone stayed at ALOFT FORT LAUDERDALE AIRPORT?
curlybelle2 posted a topic in Florida Departures
Aloft Fort Lauderdale is a brand new hotel but the reviews are not that high. Has anyone stayed there before? Looking for a clean newer hotel for our pre cruise stay. Thanks Kaye -
We were on the Enchanted last February and had a great time. A beautiful ship and much newer than the Caribbean. The buffet is much bigger and more options for food. We are going on her again in March of this year. But, The Caribbean has a walking promenade deck that we really enjoy. And the Caribbean has a walk-in step into the pool. We were very disappointed that there weren't any walk-in steps on the Enchanted. Kaye

I don't know why Princess is no longer going to Guadeloupe. Our experience last February was that we could not get an excursion with Princess on Guadeloupe. The excursions were very limited and the ones they had filled up very fast. I asked a crew member at the shore excursion desk about going in port on our own and walking around the city. My question was is it safe to walk around Guadeloupe on our own, with a person in a wheelchair. He said it isn't the safest port and with a wheelchair our party might be more vulnerable. We decided to stay on the ship didn't want to take the chance. Kaye

Great experience with Princess Insurance
curlybelle2 replied to Nebr.cruiser's topic in Princess Cruises
Thank you for sharing this, it's comforting to know. We always wondered if the Platinum insurance is really worth it. Kaye -
Thank you everyone for all the replies. I think we will go ahead with the cruise. We have insurance. I'm starting to do the pre surgery exercises and some walking. Walking is hard because of the pain in the knee but I know I have to also get my muscles ready. Thanks again, your suggestions are helpful. Kaye

I am having knee replacement surgery on January 9th, and we have a planned cruise on March 27th. It will be 11 weeks after my surgery. I am being to have second thoughts about doing this. Has anyone cruised after having a total knee replacement? I am 63 and in good health. We are not planning on a lot of excursions, just trying to get out of the snow. What do you think? Am I crazy? Thanks for the picture and info. Might try The Leaning Tower since I love tiramisu. But one during the week is more than enough.
