  1. I am glad you liked the Trellis bar. I believe there are mostly new drinks there since last summer, but the bartenders were pretty good at accommodating requests for drinks.
  2. I I am really enjoying your review. I was on the Oasis last summer - my favorite bar was the Trellis bar though. Have a wonderful cruise!
  3. Do you recall where the Casitas were and how many on the different levels?
  4. I agree about the beds at the pool. At my age they are also difficult to exit and enter but I have found the lifeguards are able to assist me as I try to get a bed near the end where the guard stands. I love the pool and we try to be the first ones there as then I feel it is like a private oasis. The pool was packed later in the day on the 2 times last year I was there.
  5. This is a wonderful. I will follow along as I always wanted to do a cruise like this but have mobility issues. I will be curious to see how your excursions go.
  6. happened to me too. Not sure if I was hacked but hope not
  7. I checked my cruise prices again, and for my Thanksgiving cruise the Beach Club dropped again so I cancelled and rebooked. it is now half of what I paid on the Oasis last summer and on the Anthem last Thanksgiving.
  8. Thanks for the advice. I just checked for my Thanksgiving cruise and price dropped about $40 so cancelled and rebooked. This is the lowest I have been able to book the beach Club, which I think is great. I prefer the pool, close bathroom, and great lunch at my age. But to each his own.
  9. I enjoy your reviews. My daughter and I also did Margaritaville last July and our host was Lakeisha. If she is there, ask for her. She was wonderful.
  10. I booked the New Year's cruise after the World Tour. I was curious as to the condition of the ship. Any info appreciated.
  11. I recently made Diamond but I am confused as to what is available and when in the formally known as Diamond Lounges and now renamed but not sure as to new name. I will be on Liberty and Odyssey this year and curious as to what is available and when. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
  12. You also get to leave your carry on bag at the Key reception area which can be really helpful depending in when cabins open on your cruise. You get a very good lunch and also a breakfast when you leave. I have used it several times and generally paid only a little more than if just got internet for 2 devices.
  13. There were issues getting off for the ports using the walker. It was very disorganized, and I know people in wheel chairs and some with strollers were having issues as well. Most of the staff actually were very nice but the system to get off was not. Getting back on using a walker also took time. I had been on the Oasis in August and after having issues, and discussing with Guest Services, the staff then was wonderful when getting off and on the ship. Not so on the Anthem. I also found some other cruisers pretty rude because of my using a walker, but that is not the fault of RCCL. I do. not use the walker all the time but it has amazed me how horribly people who are handicapped can be treated.
  14. I was on the Anthem for the last Thanksgiving cruise and I use a walker. I suggest you make sure Guest Services knows about any disability if you did not already let them know. I did not find the ship particularly handicap friendly. There is a special tram for handicapped on CocoCay- thought you may know about it already from all your cruises. I really liked the Anthem. I am sure you will too.
  15. I am considering booking a holiday cruise but concerned re smoking due to allergy. On what side of deck on deck 11 is smoking permitted now? Thanks.
  16. This was a very enjoyable review. I sympathized with your mom's mobility issues as last 2 cruises I had to use a walker, and let's just say not everyone was polite.
  17. I was on the Oasis last August and all the luggage on our side of our deck came very, very late- I never thought of using an AirTag but will from now on. If you go to the Beach Club, enjoy. We did it in August and then in November. It is expensive but worth it. Enjoy the Oasis.
  18. I was on the Thanksgiving Anthem cruise and used a walker. While most of the children were polite and held elevators for me, many older people my age, and slightly younger, were awful.
  19. I was on the Thanksgiving cruise also. I did not see many kids in the Solarium but perhaps it depended on where you were sitting. We were in a Jr. Suite and our attendant, Irish, was fantastic. We only ate in Coastal Kitchen, Jamie's and Wonderland for dinner. The latter two were great. Service in CK was excellent, but the food was mediocre. We actually really liked the lunch in 270. I use a walker. The kids I encountered where fine- most held the elevator for me. It was some older people, oddly, who were rude. The guys in Schooner Bar and Vintages were great. This was the first RCCL cruise in a long while where I did not have issues and had to spend time at Guest Services. RCCL still has to work in issues for people who have mobility issues- Anthem was a mess on that.
  20. We were on the Symphony Nov. 2019 for Thanksgiving and ate in Chops and they brought us Turkey from the main dining room as well as our ordered dishes. I am on the Anthem next week and am hoping for the same thing if I cannot get into Coastal Kitchen. ( I have a Jr. Suite).
  21. I am still trying to figure out how the pass works. It appears I need to book it for a specific time on line before my cruise. My understanding is that is just for booking purposes and I can use it anytime I want. But I am still not sure that is correct, and also how long I can use it. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
  22. I am in a Jr Suite on Anthem. When I board the Anthem can I book Coastal Kitchen at any specialty restaurant or do I have to go to CK to do it, as I did when on Oasis? Thanks.
