I got one of those in the past for Pop Corn and rarely used it. Till this day, I used the regular oil fry with Olive Oil which adds a taste. Never had interest in using it for other cooking.
This is a convection oven with rotisserie and air fry. It does everything but I haven’t had time to experiment. I don’t think it would be good for popcorn.

Do you know how long he was chef on board the SS Oceanic? and what happaned to him? when was he born and when did he die? Was curious as I have a souvenir Mario Ratto Cookbook for Home Lines, but it doesn't really talk about him. The cookbook is from 1970 and has a nice gold embossed illustration of the Oceanic on the cover. I also have a melamine souvenir tray for the SS Oceanic, and 1971 menus and some really nice postcards for her too.
October 16, 1971...I was standing on the deck of the TS Bremen as I watched the SS Ocenic pull out from her pier in New York. It was one of the rowdiest departures I had ever seen. The pax were stoked for a good time. The band was playing and the pax were screaming. What a Fun ship!

I can prepare a decent facsimile myself of the Swiss Miss (thanks to Frisch's selling their Tarter Sauce in my grocery). No french fryer, so I can't duplicate their Onion Rings. Or, maybe, whatever type of onions that they use.
I got one of those Emeril oven/air fryers for Christmas. I have yet to try making the onion rings. I could actually make that entire sandwich in that oven.

You just never know. I remember helping a very nice honeymoon couple. She had mail de mere the first 2 days out of New York. I got talking to the husband and learned his wife was sick in bed. I showed up at their cabin in the morning with Pepto Bismo and Bonnine. That night I met up with them at the Midnight Buffet and she had a loaded plate!
Damned auto spell...mal de mere. It took me two times before it would let me spell mal!

Unfortunately it was a Oriental Lady who was a passenger that we've seen thru out the sailing. Entertainers normally sat at the other end of the Kings Court near Canyon Ranch.
Some people have a constitution such as that so late. Like at home we see people go to the pancake house, diner or chinese food after the late movie.

Oh, I know that I am going to get many adverse reactions to what I am going to post. That's OK. It's a sandwich that I like.
Frisch's Big Boy's Swiss Miss: a burger on a dark rye bun with Swiss Cheese with Frisch's Tarter Sauce on both sides of the bun. Add an order of their Onion Rings with the sandwich? Very satisfying for me. It's a treat for me because I don't patronize a Big Boy very often.
Sounds like a Swiss burger to me...delicious! The onion rings sound just right too!

Good morning, I will pass.........thanks. I would do an old fashioned salami/cheese and mustard on rye.
Or a Banana and Peanut Butter. But not the above.
I double dog dare you! This is one of the weirdest combinations I know of...but it works!

I usually have an open mind but in this case........sorry, but I don't like onions on a sandwich so that is out for me and as much as I love bananas and salami, this one I will have to pass on.
Banana and salami with mustard isn’t bad either.😀

Definitely Roast Beef... Yuk....
Next to bacon I like a Fried Bologna or Fried Jewish Salami sandwich.
LOL...how about banana, salami, onion and mustard??? Don’t knock it until you try it!

It's still there. Ir is a staple at lunch time in the Lido Restaurant. Warm pudding along with warm vanilla sauce. On my most recent HAL cruises, a chocolate version of the pudding was also available. Never tried that.
Ahhhhh...reminds me of my grandmother’s bread pudding...yummmmm.

That fact makes me reluctant to book a cruise on Divina.
Divina is probably open. The question is...are these high prices going to prevail or will they adjust as the pandemic eases?

Every cruise is different. Good food depends who is in the kitchen. A great chef inspires his crew then all runs well in the galley.

Late night means dessert for me. Usually some cake hits the spot.

Thanks again everyone!
Will continue to consider YC on Meriviglia....
Could only probably manage a YC inside. And It looks like some ships only have the bigger and more pricey YC cabins.
(I just mention the motion because, one of our last cruises was Deck 15 Forward in the Caribbean on Princess.
YES, there was motion up there!!!!)
Don’t feel bad. All the cruises in YC that I want are already booked solid for 2022. Not to mention that prices have doubled.

As my Dear Mother use to say " Moderation ".........
That is why I am glad we selected a 14 day on 2022 to try a little of each maybe.
Yes...and you know what I always say...Everything in moderation...including moderation!

I just noticed that the QM2 has extensive Tea Times on board...
Traditional Tea Time - Queens Room regular (sometimes with music/dance)
High Tea (Champagne or Enchanced Tea) - Queen Rooms (another section of the room)
Secondary Tea Time - In Kings Court for grab to go (without elegant surrounding)
Sir Samuels - Chocolate Godiva Tea Time
Lion's Share - Golden Lion Pub - Pub Style Sandwiches w or w/o Flight of Beer
What a selection......
LOL...I think I’d have trouble making it to the dining room after all that!

I do have the Menu from the Waldorf but it will take time to find it and go over it for you.
If I remember well, it was a more up scale offerings, music, don't remember if dance, but it was elegant.
QM2 offers Regular Afternoon Tea and then the Champagne Tea which we are suppose to be part of our next sailing offering. From our Travel Agency for long time booking history gratits,
Right...High Tea is a veritable feast complete with side dishes. High Tea serves as a complete meal. Afternoon Tea is the typical daily tea served with snacks designed to carry you over for dinner. I believe your Cunard Champagne Tea will be a High Tea.

As part of our perk booking with our travel agent with the Cunard Booking we will be treated to the Champagne High Tea with little more elegant offerings w Champagne at the one particular Tea.
I am expecting to maybe wear a suit jacket w open collar and no more than that. It's not like High Tea in the Waldorf on the Strand in London. But a separate space is most likely set a side from the regular tea attendees to serve the upscale tea option.
I am surprised that American Queen, a steam boat, wouldn't have elegant offering Southern Style tea.. I know they offered it in Gone With The Wind.
But it will be interesting to experience this type of tea for the first time. We always attended the original tea time.
Do you know the difference between High Tea and Afternoon Tea??

It’s so cold outside that we will be cooking inside today...no bbq...sighhhh. We usually bbq chicken and ribs with my special bbq sauce...Hog #1. Today we will do mussels marinara...with a thin linguine. Next weekend looks much better. Hopefully folks will be able to get outside and celebrate.

BLT is truly All American......
The right bacon properly smoked, crispy fresh from the field Iceberg, Beefsteak Tomato,Hellman's Mayo and good White Bread. I do like a fresh Kaiser Roll slightly toasted.
I think I will make one tomorrow morn...
The trick of a BLT is the tomato. It has to be a fresh juicy beefsteak fresh off the vine.

If I’m able to linger after dinner with a friend then the cheese board with Ruby Port is just the thing.
