  1. I am a sewer but not convinced sewing masks is effective for our health care workers. If you wish to sew and wear yourself, that is your choice. But from what we are hearing, the fabric is too porous. The factories need to up production, which they probably are trying to do. If my hospital says they want us to sew masks, I will gladly do so.
  2. Wow, was just thinking of you, Marie, today. glad to see you back. Hope all is well with you and your husband.
  3. Lois, happy retirement. Wishing you many travel days ahead.
  4. Taking the Skytrain is quicker than taking a taxi. Traffic in Vancouver is pretty bad.
  5. Lois, thinking of you. Hope all goes well.
  6. Melody, thinking of you. Anita, love your Flowrider photo. hi to all the other ladies here.
  7. My friends are on this cruise. Looking forward to your report.
  8. Lisa, I just made my son’s costume for Halloween. Recovered a hat to make it like a fez, a vest out of a fabric leftover, and harem like pants from a thrift store. Just had to put elastic to make the fabric blossom out a bit at the ankles. First time using the sewing machine in many months. It felt good.
  9. Anita, loving your London reports. Laurie, congratulations on becoming a proud Grandmom. Margaret, love your hats as I too enjoy wearing them. hi to all the Earth ladies even though I am Ice. Still enjoy seeing your fashion choices.
  10. Lisa, your outfits look fabulous on you. Great sewing.
  11. Margaret, the first green dress from Macy’s would be perfect for a Downton Abbey themed event. Any D Abbey fans here? Saw the movie the other day.
  12. Laurie, the portacrib idea is what we did. Plus a lobster chair ( clips to the table) or a booster chair for eating at the table worked for us. Instead of a high chair. But we did have highchairs too ( we have twins).
  13. Lisa, you are a talented sewer. Are you self taught or have you taken lessons? You do an amazing job. Bet you recommend using a form!
  14. Just checking in. Great pies, Melody. Laurie, hope all goes well with you. Anita, glad your move went well...another new state for you. hi to all the other ladies on this thread.
  15. Thanks everyone. A mom and dad wound up sleeping in the uppers as they were told kids weren’t allowed to sleep up there. Don’t know who told them that but they followed what they were told. Strange info.
