We lived in Anglesey in the 1970s when I worked at a Power station on the Island. We had a view over Snowdonia from our home and spent many happy hours in the mountains including walking (not climbing) up Snowdon. Been back many times since including this June, can now only manage gentle walks.

We do now have a water grid of sorts in Yorkshire, after a severe drought in 1995 when hundreds of road tankers had to be used to bring much needed water to top up reservoirs in the region. Yorkshire Water invested heavily in new pipelines and fixing leaks in the system. Now water can be pumped around the system to where it is needed most. Levels are has low now has they were in 1995 and usage has increased. No restrictions have been imposed yet but they cannot be ruled out unless we get much needed rain soon.

We were on that cruise and the following one, they also had Jim Badger on the piano late in the evenings. Those early cruises were there best of times on Azamara in my opinion, We have cruised with Heike many times and she will be impossible to replace. It was definitely a tender port, we were lucky to make it in 2008 but the tendering was delayed due to the weather in the morning It's always a lottery but very worth it when you get in, the weather was lovely in the Afternoon and we stayed very late in the evening. Maybe it's changed since 2008?.

It's not the loss of the books but the ruination of a beautiful roo at that bothers me. I don't like what I am hearing about Azamara at all, nothing booked and not planning anything at this time.
