Princess has not been using this port m much for some time and it is easy to see how what we expect as normal check-in process can be thrown off the rails to some degree in a foreign port. All you can do is find a Princess employee and nicely advocate for yourself. Or, go with the situation. An 11:30am arrival is right in prime time as well. Hope cruise goes well - S.A. is a great adventure.

If you think about it, it is cheaper for GS to hand out a few tokens than process a bunch of free laundry or dry-cleaning items.

By the time the typed words hit the screen, it could all be cleaned up and changed. I think more of this situation is being made (molehill to mountain) than necessary, but I understand your concerns. Only benefit lost is the New Grounds Coffee package swap. Various ship answers are on other threads as well. Hope you get what you are looking for. When are you cruising?

We cannot be that precise. You can swap any of the 10 alcohol for other alcohol or beer, but the brands in stock may vary. You can select different brands of beer, for example. A couple of premium beers may not be allowed (like the large Grolsch bottles, but I did get some on my last cruise). You can swap any of the 20 items for more water (500 ml) or soda cans or sparkling water. A tip is that Perrier bottles have more liquid volume than Pellegrini bottles if don't have a preference. Again, stock on hand may affect your available choices. I have seen reported that you can still get a bottle of wine for the entire mini-bar content, but it is Canyon Road plonk.

If you check the Cruise Personalizer and your Travel Summary, you will be advised of any special travel requirements by destination. I also see these pop-up when first entering Personalizer after a new booking is made. When are you traveling? I think if you do a bit of checking, you will find Canada doesn't need your vaccine information.

I hearya, but they cannot honor something that has been deleted - presumably taken out of their system as well. IDK if GS might offer some OBC to cover purchasing coffees if you turn in the mini-bar. I read where one guest got some pretty generous OBC. OTOH, we have never been able to turn in the mini-bar for cash or OBC. (It would naturally be non-refundable OBC).

Why do you think the Princess App is the definitive source? I know it ought to be and ought to be correct and in synch with Princess.com, but surely you know how many issues we have all had with this *&^&%$%% App since Day 1 (June 7, 2021 in case folks forget).

Second that. We all know the App sucks, so I wouldn't trust anything there over official word and policy which is the limit is $15 period.

IIRC correctly from last Fall, there were some appetizer changes and for certain dessert changes. But the mains looked same as ever.

Updated in that the New Grounds Coffee Package has been removed. Not updated - as is typical - in all of the documentation areas and FAQ's where exchange of mini-bar is mentioned. This has been posted about on several threads, including reports from current cruises.

They raised the cover $10/pp recently and one would think that could allow them to maintain quality.

I do think the quality of the meat has degraded from pre-Covid days. If it was as bad as you say, I would have sent it back and asked for a new one.

Did you ask why they would be seating walk-ups ahead of those in line with reservations and clock time is past their res time?

I did order the filet once pre-Covid when it was listed specifically as from the CG. I asked for some of the Applewood Smoked Salt to come with it. When the steak arrived, the waiter served me a dish of Applesauce, so it got lost in the translation. I often take my own salt with me since I have it at home and use it with beef most of the time.

It is only the tail portion, so it is a 6oz tail. I think the CG/Sabi lobsters in the past were north Atlantic lobsters. I am not so sure anymore about that.

Sounds like a terrible situation for you folks on the RUBY. This is just wrong and it seems to me that HQ has been about as unclear with the ships as they have been with guests at times. All you can do is provide GS desk personnel with the webpage FAQ's from Princess.com that are pretty explicit about the way it should be working. Perhaps it would be fun if you scanned that document to a PDF and posted it here for all of us to laugh at and poke holes in it. 😈

More specifically, here is the blurb details for Android Version 3.0.107018. They have added Onboard Packages... so likely the Plus, Premier, and new beverage packages. The usual generic bug fixes and improvements.

You can add friends as Travel Companions as well as cabinmate(s). That is the group you might be able to check on location. Each guest has the option to deny ability to be found by companions. It is part of the profile information in the Princess App. Sorry, cannot post exact path to location as I don't have an active booking to work with.
