  1. (Red-faced math major here). Yes, but even with the correct figure of $63, we still don't drink anywhere near $57/day in beverages. IMO the CAD exchange is irrelevant since everything on the ship is in USD (unless in Australia).
  2. Scan all your evidentiary documents. Compose a nice letter to Customer Relations. Send it all to: CustomerRelations@PrincessCruises.com BTW, you have not indicated whether you have checked your gift card balances to see if any funds are back on them or not.
  3. Gift card dollars are not forfeited. Only bonus gift card dollars can be forfeited if not used and PCL has not offered any bonuses for over a year now.
  4. Yes, it is possible to go dizzy with numbers. It is pretty simple for us. We always book cabins that have the $16/pp Crew Appreciation (CA). We always get Medallion Net and that is going to now cost $7.50 with our 50% discount. $16 x 2 + $7.50 x 2 = $47. Plus x 2 = $120. No way, do we drink anything close to $73/day ($120 - $47). And I don't even have to think about the days off the ship when the potential to spend and drink doesn't even exist for most of the day.
  5. Sorry. I recall seeing more than one photo posted here in one or more of threads under Princess forum. I think there was something of a press announcement perhaps with Tyra Banks (don't ask me why her). ETA: See Post #4.
  6. All cabin types have the same door - unless it is a special cabin for disabled guests.
  7. Check the deck plans on Princess.com. Quite obvious which ones they are.
  8. Yes, $47. But Princess is equally nuts with this pricing as they are with the separate alcohol Plus and Premier packages. $47 + $16 Crew Appreciation = $53. Only $7 less than the $60 Plus. If you can buy MedallionNet for $7.50, well that brings total to over $60 if necessary to convince. The zero alcohol package is useless - may as well buy the Plus and have some alcohol as well. We don't buy the packages, BTW. No value in it for us - especially with the new pricing. We didn't even buy Plus at the old $40/pp ($80/couple).
  9. Not what that highlighted line means. As to whether the mini-bar swap is discontinued, it could be if what swapping out to no longer exists. I could see them doing mini-bar swap for ONE of the no-alcohol packages, but I wouldn't count on it.
  10. In 2022, I sometimes lost the S/H OBC and had to re-submit, but a couple of times it was reinstated. I believe that depended on if I remembered to mention it to my TA and if he had the right kind of Princess rep on the phone when re-faring. I had both re-fares and cancel/re-book. I did have EZ-Air retained at one point because it was necessary due to pricing. Otherwise, it wasn't an issue to re-book air on a new booking. We don't do PCL excursions, so that never mattered and the only thing I had booked early in Cruise Personalizer was the water starter package and it was NP to re-add it.
  11. My understanding is they are a bunch of fancy souped up ice cream sundaes. Have you seen the photos? Also, at least one ship advised not ready to serve them up as yet and were crediting back $10/day.
  12. A mini-suite has always been a marketing misnomer. It is really a larger balcony cabin with more interior space and a tub/shower. No real Suite amenities apply - except if book a Club Class (Reserve) Mini in which case you get the Club Class dining section of the MDR.
  13. Of course we do not yet know 100% of details on the truth of any changes, but it could be possible that the mini-bar could swap for at least one coffee package, even with a price increase. Time will tell - like you, I am not certain where this all lands yet.
  14. Yes, as long as you elect to pick it up at the check-in terminal.
  15. Sure, one person can, but doesn't make sense. Presuming both are paying into the pool and using internet, fixed costs are $32/day for Crew Incentive and $15/day for MedallionNet (assuming eligible for 50% discount and to present best case scenario). That is $47. Now add one Plus Beverage Package for $77 and we are at $124/day total - roughly. Now, surely the other cabinmate is going to get some occasional drinks of one sort or another, which only pushes the $124 total higher. Two PLUS Fare upgrades are $120.
  16. Why not find a good outside independent TA who can handle your bookings? I use a US-based discount agency that no Canadian agency can touch for pricing, but you aren't getting any great price deal now, so why not try a TA? Who knows - they might have some group OBC for you.
  17. Yes, the new pricing is $15 and $40. I wrote that in original post. And, AFAIK, the pricing is same on-board as pre-cruise with the increase in place.
  18. I suspect they called Guest Services. But hopefully, we will get clarification.
  19. You are right about old prices. I swapped two numbers. Should be this: The old pricing for MedallionNet was: PRE-CRUISE ON-BOARD 1-Device $10 $15 4-Devices $20 $25 I did write the correct numbers for new pricing. Same idea on upgrade to 4-device under old pricing - $10 more before discount.
  20. A way around this for some folks may be to take a voyage to French Polynesia and then stay after disembarking in Papeete. You can easily fly around to different islands and visit and stay. Either fly home from Papeete, or catch the next ship when calling there.
  21. I concur. I have not looked much at future pricing for Europe in Fall 2024, but I know we are extremely unlikely to ever see the net pricing we got for our Fall 2022 voyages. Excellent value by booking during Pandemic and monitoring pricing religiously.
  22. Presuming the OP is in North America (they declined to include their location), they should not wait at all to book the voyage they want. Book now and watch for price drops - that way, desired cabin is secured. I know you know this from your posting history and we over here know you don't have this luxury in UK as you only get to re-price once and it costs 100 GBP to do it.
