  1. Ah. Well, with the exception of the last one, I just took those posts to mean that they, personally, wouldn’t be able to eat them.
  2. I don’t recall seeing those posts, and even did a quick scan up! I’m in the skip-the-bread-and-the-whole-baked-potato crowd. I won’t be able to eat the main! Does that count as telling them they’re greedy? 😅
  3. I must have been on the same sailing as @ORTravelGal We were on the Rotterdam and the time changes were the same.

Wow, @napria! Can you believe the time has finally come?! I am so excited for you!! Have a wonderful time and I hope everyone stays healthy. Good idea to stay away from the spa. Bon Voyage!
  5. You can get water from any of the servers, no matter where you are.
  6. All eastbound time changes have happened at 12:00pm in my experience.
  7. No. There may be weather issues but I have never come across a sailing that the Captain hasn’t gone around a weather system in order to ensure the safety of the ship and passengers.
  8. Gosh, it’s hard to post on CC, these days, with the constant “the server not responding”!!! So, I mistakenly assumed that, since it’s an overseas territory, the BVI’s would come under the new UK ETA requirements. However, I am now wondering if HAL is assuming that too, given no one knows! 😂 I’m beginning to think it’s kind of false-positive notification as when I input the parameters in your link, the DR returns a hit saying a visa is required, but when you scroll down the page it says visa exempt. Who knows. 🤷‍♀️ Here is the link I had originally been referencing, which you had requested: UK ETA I see a date of January 8, 2025:
  9. As an addendum to @SilvertoGold’s post, t’s not the most user-friendly site (<— huge understatement) so if you have have questions or need advice, feel free to ask.
  10. Beginning January 8, 2025, US citizens (and others, including Canada) will require a UK ETA. I am guessing your arrival in the BVI’s is not before this date.
  11. Did you post this in the NCL forum? You may get appropriate advice there.
  12. One-way business class pricing is usually more competitive going through HAL’s Flight Ease. If the prices drop, you can always refare prior to final payment and you have the choice of purchasing the fully refundable fares, where payment is not due until final payment. It is as reliable as purchasing airfare without using Flight Ease.
  13. That literally made me LOL 😂 Editing to add: By the looks of that lemon twist, they may need more training. Maybe they messed up your martini too!
  14. Personally, I love both because I am on a trans-Atlantic! Eastbound is cooler and westbound is warmer. Eastbound is in the Spring and westbound is in the Fall. I can’t think of any cons!
  15. This is where the server should have mentioned the half potato and let the guest decide. If the server forgot, they should have gone back. Either way, it is a management issue. The ball is being dropped.
  16. I believe I have found my people! 😂 @ronpes, what a great idea to do a martini sampler! I would definitely try that. But definitely not full-sized!
  17. I hope power is restored soon and that you don’t have too much cleanup. Also hope you got some sleep!
  18. Some people have reported that they take them to Guest Services after boarding to deposit to the onboard account.
  19. I don’t know if it works the same on Cunard, but on HAL you can call your PCC and ask them to release a cabin from inventory in order to book it. From all reports, most have been successful with their request. Not sure if it works when you are using a TA though.
  20. On occasion, we have eaten exclusively in the Pinnacle Grill in order to avoid the MDR. The petite filet was always perfect.
  21. Notwithstanding the impracticality of such an undertaking, I can’t see where anyone has suggested an $8mil budget would include such.
  22. Gotta love the internet for its absolutes. lol So. If sustainability = profits, I am good with that. I don’t expect a business to not turn a profit. (Especially if I’d like to sail with them again.) The economic fallout from the last few years has hit everyone and everything. Personally, I don’t understand perpetual agitation. I guess I look through the opposite side of the glass.
  23. This may not be popular, but I am glad that lobster is not readily available due to overfishing. I think they are taking a sustained approach.
  24. Yes, your status will change and you will receive a new I94. You will need to ensure you have the proper visas to enter any of the countries you are visiting, as well as have all the required documentation for your cruise line in order to board the ship. Having said all that, are you subject to the two-year home residency requirement? That will impact your plans to return to the US at the end of your cruise as you are no longer eligible to enter. As well, you will need to apply and interview for the B2 visa in your home country (or last place of residence) which means there will not be enough time to take a cruise and return to the US within the timeframe you have in mind. If you are asking if you can leave the US during your grace period, and then re-enter during the same period under the J1 status, the answer is no. As soon as you leave the US your grace period is over and you will not be allowed to re-enter. I would recommend you take your questions to visa journey dot com and do some studying. I would also recommend that you do not purchase a cruise until you know exactly what you are getting into.
