  1. Policy is 1 hour before....however on the 5 cruises we've been on this year none of the terminal staff have been checking.
  2. OP stay in Ft Lauderdale and use a shuttle next morning to get to POM.
  3. No...We did something very similar and you should be fine. Cruise Control had us at MCO in plenty of time for our noon flight this past end of April.
  4. I book my hotel (refundable) when the booking opens and have found the best rates then. But keep checking for a lower rate after booked. My air I do a lot of watching and usually a couple of months after the schedule has opened. Some of my best deals on business/first have been booked late at night here on the west coast. Price your days of week travel that can also make a difference.
  5. The OS we had on Serenade the bedside wall lights were already basically in the bed encroaching on the pillow so raising the mattress frame is gonna make it more so...Just a FYI for anyone that has cabin #1058.
  6. Not true...on our last 5 RCI cruises this year we were able to get a paper Cruise Compass on day 1 at Guest Services and our cabin steward had one in our cabin everynight.
  7. Don't purchase the breakfast. Once you book with VT and they confirm call the hotel directly to confirm the booking with them by giving your last name and date of arrival and any requests you may have including adding your membership to your booking. Then the breakfast will be included. Otherwise the breakfast hasn't been included for a few years.
  8. Charlottetown....we just walked around the town.
  9. Probably not, so we opted this past September to do the Summer Musher Puppy Camp. We wanted to book privately with Gold Rush Dog Tours in Juneau but they booked up quickly so we booked with our cruiseline RCI. Our grandkid's loved this visit with the dogs and the sled ride.
  10. We did this the end of April. DH dropped our extended family and luggage at the port...took our rental back to Budget and was back with using their shuttle in less than 1/2 hour. Lines waiting to pick up cars but not for drop off. Our timing was around 11:00am and couldn't have been quicker or easier.
  11. Use a taxi from FLL to Port Everglades...Easy and quick should be approx $15.00 metered not a flat rate.
  12. Their actually right next to each other...couldn't be closer and easier to do.
  13. Not sure what you mean by the "best" but we used a taxi from LAX to San Pedro port terminal which is where RCI cruises out of this past October and it was approx $70 including tip. Depending on what terminal you arrive at just take the LAX-IT free shuttle bus to the Taxi/Uber/Lyft area. Very easy to do.
  14. I have a Celebrity booked for May 9, 2023 a great itinerary Hawaii-Vancouver.
  15. To return to the ship go one block behind the Malecon (one way traffic) and flag down a taxi. It was $10 for the two of us recently and agree price it before you enter. They can drop you off at the port or across the street at the Walmart if needed.
  16. This past September our extended family of 6 used CanTrip Shuttle for our private shuttle...MB Sprinted van...very roomy for us all and our luggage. YVR to Canada Place and back. They were just an amazing company..Once we booked they called personally to confirm and again just before our departure dates and then a follow up once we had returned home. Very impressed with this company !!!! General inquiries and booking: Call/Text/ WhatsApp +1 (778) 991-8866 Email: ben@cantripshuttle.com Also their pricing was much less than another quote I received.
  17. That would be our favorite Captain Johnny !!!! Over 40 RCI cruises for us and he's the only memorable one but a shout out to Captain Trym Selvag too. All the other's I have no idea who they were.
  18. We also did the full transit from Los Angeles to Tampa on Serenade this past Oct 2-15.
  19. We've cruised the Mexican Riviera many times since the mid 1990's and I couldn't agree more with the comments above. Enjoy these extremely easy DIY ports.
  20. As grandparents that cruise often with our grandkids under age 10 this refreshment package isn't necessary at all....Enjoy, you'll have an amazing time !!
  21. Not sure I understand "with the way things are these days"...is there something you're concerned about with these ports ?
