  1. Cutdown info below from the Casual Dining Fixed Price Menus thread: As mentioned above: Salty Dog Gastropub is located in the Wheelhouse Bar Not all Vines venues have had the same food offerings and at the same times in the past so will be interesting to see if this is levelled out across the fleet with the dining changes. Planks and Steamers are separate areas in the buffet but have not been operating since the pandemic - again, one to watch with the casual dining rollout. Venue (with menu for logged in users) A la carte charges $14.99 cover charge includes Ships Salty Dog Gastropub Salty Dog.pdf Plates $10 Desserts $5 2 x Plates 1 x Dessert Crown Princess Emerald Princess Ruby Princess Vines Vines.pdf Crudités $3 Charcuterie Board $12 Chocolate Truffles $3 1 x Crudités 1 x Charcuterie Board 1 x Chocolate Truffes Caribbean Princess Crown Princess Emerald Princess Grand Princess Majestic Princess Regal Princess Royal Princess Ruby Princess Sapphire Princess Sky Princess Planks Planks.pdf Starters $5 Planks $12 Extra Meat $4 Desserts $3 1 x Starter 1 x Plank 1 x Dessert Caribbean Princess Emerald Princess Steamers Steamers.pdf Starters $5 Steamer $12 Seafood Platter $12 Add Lobster Tail or Snow Crab $10 Desserts $3 1 x Starter 1 x Steamer or Seafood Platter 1 x Dessert Caribbean Princess Emerald Princess
  2. Oh yes, the aisles were amazingly narrow. Thanks for the extra info - I tend not to lie flat and can snooze at any angle lol. My other half does lie flat (on the overnights) but normally wears a good quality eye mask and earplugs.
  3. Found your views on the Virgin neo Upper Class experience interesting. What specifically did you find uncomfortable about it? We managed to upgrade to the Retreat Suite for our Virgin neo flight to Boston a couple of months back and loved the extra space that gave us - have flown upper in their older fleet a few times and were concerned about roominess on these newer planes.
  4. Many thanks @snoozecrooze - no idea why they don't show. I can still see them and so can my other half on his device!
  5. It will be interesting to see how they manage this! It might be just for the rest of this season - could have sworn there was a mention on here that Princess had said they were aiming to rollout medallion delivery by post to other nations - e.g. UK, Canada, Aus and NZ by the end of this year.
  6. Traditional dining is no more on Princess in the sense that you are advised to book dining slots using the app (Dine My Way) - see the Princess website page where it mentions: Dine When You Want Select dining times for main dining rooms and specialty restaurants.* Change reservations as needed. (It's flexible!) Request the same time each night if you prefer the same waitstaff. No reservations needed for those eligible for Reserve Dining. You can book before the cruise or during. Some may turn up and try to do a walk-in which tends to work at less busy times. When we were on Discovery Princess last October the dining times were: Breakfast: 7-9am Lunch: 12-1:30pm Dinner: 5pm:9:30pm
  7. Hey, we're booked on the inaugural in February so have a vested interest in her progress 😁 Lots of excitement on other sites too.
  8. A few more from Stewart (pictured with his son) to wrap up:
  9. More pictures from Stewart Chiron's shipyard visit. Galleys and restaurants: The Sphere and main Pool (undercover):
  10. Some pictures from the shipyard visit yesterday posted by Stewart Chiron: Balconies - will get their cabins soon....
  11. Promising update from Stewart Chiron aka The Cruise Guy on another site that he had "toured Princess Cruises upcoming Sun Princess today at the cruise shipyard. Stunning progress since last visit in March." Hopefully we will get some build news soon!
  12. Interesting. Do you think they may have rushed out this menu out based on the $8.50 they started charging for pizzas on OceanNow and before they became aligned? The $5.50 for appetizer and $4 for dessert does not match with any of the other published casual dining menus.
  13. Actually he's visiting the Sun Princess build. It's mislabelled as it's tied to the themed cruise he doing on Discovery Princess. I have been posting about his videos on the Sun Princess thread
  14. The next engineering focussed video from Adam Savage on Sun Princess has been released - Adam geeks out underneath the ship before the float out in March; looking at the 'nose', thrusters, wave reduction, ballast, air lubrication compressors, stabiliser wings and some impressive looking propellers.
  15. Crab Shack hasn't been mentioned as being a casual dining venue so we cannot just assume
  16. Spoiler alert!: there's a detailed cruisecritic article here which describes the different 360 courses. I have heard they ask you about food allergies when they call with the invitation and the article mentions it caters for vegans and vegetarians so I'm sure they can accommodate your preferences.
  17. Nothing announced as yet...but then they didn't include one on Discovery Princess either
  18. All the casual dining places are listed in the table on this thread
  19. I think your best bet is it to look at a video review first. Check out the first 5 minutes of Linzi and Marks' video which will give you a good idea. We booked a Cabana on Enchanted Princess last year so are happy to answer any follow-up questions.
  20. I don't think anyone has the answers yet - we will have to see how it works in practice. It's supposed to being rolled out on Sapphire Princess this week so would be interesting to hear any updates, albeit they have the reduced Alfredo's menu.
  21. Non-Reserve cabanas will NOT have access to the cabana deck. The Princess website makes this clear: Can't comment on the casino question - would avoid any staterooms above a public space!
  22. Yes, he used a new rendering not seen before ...not sure how realistic it is but it's pretty wow!
  23. Really interesting new video from Adam Savage about some of the engineering challenges on Sun Princess - he has recorded footage from the shipyard looking at the Dome and the Spheres where the glass has to be able to flex! I believe it was filmed back in March at the time of the floatout so no real progress update but it does go into more geeky detail.

Star and Sun are in italics as the menus may change by the time they are launched Corrections: - Added Discovery Princess to the Salty Dog as per feedback from @XLVIII - Removed Majestic Princess from Ocean Terrace as per query from @jwattle
  25. I'm not sure it will work like that - we will eventually be on Plus but rarely have more than a pizza each at Alfredo's and are quite prepared for our 2 complimentary meals to be charged as our fixed price option - we're not ordering food we don't want! Unless we state we want to go a la carte on the pizzas and use our complimentary meals in another casual dining venue. Whereas you guys on Premier can just order what you want up to the maximum of a fixed price meal each time. We will have to see how it works in practice!
