  1. yes that was the mall...We went to NYC for Xmas and flew out on Dec 30th...I couldn't believe how warm it was on New Years eve/eve...The walking weather was beautiful. There was also a Nordstrom Rack.
  2. thanks...i did do that...they said no problem...It is Hyatt Place hotel...Last year we stayed at Springhill Suites night before early flight...hotel area seemed fine to me...we walked over to a shopping mall (past Mets stadium)...and lived to tell our story...seemed safe enough...maybe we were just lucky?
  3. We are flying into LGA this Friday for a Saturday cruise departure...We don't get in until midnight, so we found a hotel (there are many) that have free airport shuttle...and then we will just take uber to the ship on Saturday. At least we only will have to pay for 1 ride, vs. 2.
  4. We are in a regular balcony.
  5. On Celebrity, you can order dinner from the Main Dining Room and have it delivered to your room. If in a suite they can serve it to you course by course...if in any other type room, they just bring it all at once. You can order anything on the MDR menu. Does Princess offer something similar? Thanks for help.
  6. no ez pass then, I assume. (whatever it is called in CA)
  7. That was our exact problem. I just booked (6 days ago) the NY cruise leaving 10-12-19. I would have rather booked the Quebec cruise leaving a day earlier(just based on the itinerary), but the flights to Quebec and back from Boston were ridiculous. The NY departure date worked best anyway, so really only out a couple of different stops to places we haven't been yet. And I was VERY happy with the price!
  8. or they honestly think that the room is the correct one, and are off exploring the ship without a care in the world. (and buying drinks with your room key!)
  9. I guess we won't have to worry about sitting in the crowded buffet area anymore...Board ship, grab some food from the buffet and carry it to the Penthouse Suite...when the real occupants show up we will say, "I thought this room was bigger than in the brochure...I must have mixed up the room numbers?"
  10. we did 930 am flight..could have made 830...we were first off the ship and no checked bags.
  11. I'm glad you know why or what everyone likes to do on vacation.
  12. we boarded the ship in Budapest a couple of years ago and didn't have any ship organized transfers. We just used Uber from the airport to our AirBnb apartment. Didn't need any local $$. Have a great trip!
  13. Just to be clear, we can now go to any bar from 5-7 and get unlimited drinks (that are on the "elite happy hour" menu)?
  14. We just flew back from Basel after Vantage river cruise. (we then connected through AMS) We arrived in Basel the day before, so not apples to apples (assuming you don't get there until the morning you disembark). Passengers started leaving the ship at 3am and we were in the last group off the boat at 1130am. The trip to the Basel airport took 15 minutes. Check-in was very easy at this "small" airport. We have only taken 2 river cruises (on 2 different lines) and they both arrived at final city the day before disembarkation...I didn't know some arrived the day of disembarkation.
