  1. No Way..this whole thing will blow thru in a couple of weeks. Believe!
  2. On February 5th we cancelled our Diamond Princess B2B April 2020 cruises. We received a partial credit card refund on the first one, minus the cancellation fee that they said they would refund by check which we never got, and as of Friday still no refund at all on the second cruise. I have called and they said it would take time. Some how we got the 25% future cruise credit for both which we applied to our 2 future cruises. Very confusing.
  3. Do you think Princess has insurance to cover their losses from the Diamond Princess or are they self-insured?
  4. Guess we have been lucky having done 33 cruises. We will consider it with our 4 upcoming cruises
  5. We had no trip insurance only medical. So we had to pay all cancellation fees out of pocket including air.
  6. Coral appreciated the notice. I started this thread asking for advice on what to do for our Diamond Princess cruise as there had been a passengers on the cruise from Hong Kong who tested positive for coronavirus We decided to cancelled our B2B on February 5th, for the April 2nd cruise for 18 days. By that time there was 20 cases on the Diamond Princess. At that point the cancellation fee was 20% of the cruise. If we waited till the 6th it would be 50% of the cruise fare. We talked to Princess about waving the 20% or extend the cancellation date. They would not. We had invested hours into planning the cruise and got charged to cancel our business class flights. We did book the same 18 day back to back on the Diamond for next year 20121 same date April 2nd thru the 20th. We have done 28 cruises on Princess it would be nice to at least get back our 20% of the total cruise fare.
  7. We were on the Daimond April 2 thru 20th. We canceled yesterday and took the 20% cancelation fee
  8. We cancelled our April 2nd cruise and the 11th also. It's a shame they charged us 20% to cancel.
  9. We cancelled April 2nd M011 aand MO12 and was charged 20%. Also my flight cancellation cost me $400.
  10. David Abel we know you are monitoring this thread. Keep up the good work reporting live from the Diamond Princess! Thanks, https://www.facebook.com/david.abel.75?fref=search&__tn__=%2Cd%2CP-R&eid=ARATsRxIAPKRULIfXj_FMPrWQY9-NHcXqrE2QhHeXd1dhbosoumQrmOSFAMUkTs9fO6V4p4tFcbyAllv
  11. We are booked on Diamond B2B April 2nd thru the 20th . We have decided to cancel both cruises. It is just not worth the risk for us. Princess charged us 20% of the cruise fare and our flight cancellation was $400
  12. Wow important question. 14 days in a cabin is enouth to make any one drink'
  13. Yes Great attitude and Princess is doing their best considering what they are dealing with.
