Oh this is such great news! Wonderful they have fans and curtains and heating lamps! Seems like they thought of everything! I don't think I need to be close to any particular area since the ship isn't that big. But, GarySarah reported they get no cell service on deck 2 which has me wondering about deck 3 again...

Thanks, I was wondering about the wind when dining out on deck. I guess a jacket would do us both good. I've read that dinner dining is either on deck or inside, not a choice. Is it ever uncomfortable hot dining on deck? I had read the waves were worse on deck 2 with the portholes, that's why I was considering decks 3 or 4. Great news the AC is working properly. I didn't consider the $10/day travel pass on Verizon. I will check that out.

So, the wifi IS per device which means my husband and I would have to purchase two wifi plans for the cruise? If the wifi is on my iphone can it not be switched to my ipad? Just trying to plan...

Hello All, Considering booking a Caribbean cruise this coming winter. We've been cruising for 25 years on the larger ship lines. Wanted to do something special for our Anniversary and Sea Dream looks so lovely. Looking for a laid back, relaxing cruise to islands we haven't visited. I've read all the reviews I can find, there actually aren't many, and I have a few questions/concerns. We need shade. Is there any shade on deck? When I see pictures of the pool, I see no umbrellas. We will need to keep in touch with home, does the internet work properly? I understand the purchased internet only includes one device? Is this true? To avoid sea sickness I was thinking deck 2? I see there are port holes on deck 2 and I'm wondering if deck 3 would be best for a full window/brighter cabin? Does it matter? I've read complaints that the cabins get warm and the A/C isn't the greatest. Is that a problem? Will my husband need a sports coat or is a collared shirt fine in the evening? Do you purchase the ship excursions or do your own thing in the Caribbean? Thanks for your help!

Would we have to make ALL our reservations when we board?

We booked a 12 night cruise on the Serenade. So far I have reserved the 3-night specialty dining and the Chefs Table. The price for the UDP is pretty good I think $254/pp for 12 nights. I'm wondering if we should take it. Is it worth it when Serenade only has Chops and Giovanni's and Izumi? We are Diamond so will also be spending time in the DL.

Are there umbrellas available? How long was the drive there?

Thank you all for your input. I will reserve ahead of time so we can have the sea day of our choice. Right now the price is $79.99. Seems like a good price but I will continue to monitor.

Thinking about trying the Chefs Table for our upcoming 12 night cruise. Would you reserve ahead of time or is it cheaper to reserve on board? What is a good price? Would you book on a port or sea day?

We did actually find the sauna in the mens locker room so worked out perfect for my DH. Also, we each had one day use of the spa sauna and he was able to use my day plus his. Celebrity was really a nice ship, we really enjoyed it. There were hardly any kids at all even though it was summer so that was a bonus (just the two of us this time) and unique for a summer cruise. Ended up with covid on night 5 of the cruise so it was a shorter cruise than I had planned LOL
