Actually, Seabourn falls under Carnival Corp.

On our Mardi Gras cruise, they did close the storm door during refueling on debarkation morning.

On Excel class ships (Mardi Gras, Celebration, Jubilee), coves are on deck 5, and there is another passenger deck below you. We loved our cove balcony on the Mardi Gras, and I would book it again without a second thought.

The Excel Class ships (Mardi Gras, Celebration, Jubilee) don't have self-service laundry rooms. They do have ironing rooms though. They are on several decks. I used the one on deck 5 when I was on the Mardi Gras back in February.

On the Mardi Gras, deck 9 Ocean Suites with a roof are only cabins 9310, 9317, 9410, 9405, 9284, and 9289. If you'll notice on the deck plans, these rooms are on the little corners and have a curved corner on the balcony. These suites are also on decks 10 - 16. Deck 17 has them as Spa Suites.
