  1. Thanks…that’s what I thought…have you, or anyone else been able to get SOBC reapplied after it was canceled? We jointly own the shares however two CSRs & our TA’s sales rep insists that by refaring that’s considered a booking after 6/29 & based on their inter office memo SOBC & MOBC are based upon per cabin and not per person even though the memo does not state it. If anyone has their policy in writing that one can get SOBC & the other MOBC in the same cabin would appreciate seeing it. I’m considering emailing the shareholder benefit section prior to refaring to get their advice. If we refare & lose her SOBC and cannot get it reapplied it’s not cost effective to refare.
  2. Does anyone have any recent experiences to share about the possibility of one person getting MOBC and the other person in the same cabin getting SOBC? Our 2025 cruise had about a 10% fare reduction so we had our TA check about refaring. We booked before the 6/29 change resulting in SOBC and MOBC not being combinable for bookings after that date. Currently I have MOBC and my wife has SOBC which Princess said she’d lose the $250 SOBC by refaring our cruise. Our TA contacted her PCL sales rep who sent their inter office memo stating the following which does not address whether one can get MOBC and the other SOBC which if I recall correctly some said they got both when in our situation. Any experiences either way would be greatly appreciated because if we lose SOBC that would offset the fare reduction. Please note that effective on 8 a.m. PDT on June 29, 2023 for all voyages departing after September 12, 2023, Shareholder and Military Onboard Credits have the following policy changes: • The Shareholder and Military OBC will no longer be combinable with each other. • The Military OBC will be non-refundable. • The Shareholder OBC is currently and will remain non-refundable.
  3. Now…some trees are resilient & survive fire and hopefully that will be the situation for the Banyan Tree & to be a symbol of the rebirth of Lahaina. 🤞
  4. We picked up Ohana from Maui on the upper departure level at the international terminal…not good either. The airport horseshoe moved rather normally but the main issue was gridlock from all directions approaching LAX.
  5. We do like you & waited at the Ralph’s on Sepulveda for our Ohana to be ready & entered on Sky Way…gridlock.
  6. My reaction to such misinformation would normally be unbelievable although coming from Princess it’s believable. By making such false statements she apparently has no real world experiences, or wasn’t truthful about her 23 years in Investor Relations, or has never dealt with MOBC & SOBC…or all of the above.
  7. I agree with you…like the 405 freeway expansion still resulting in gridlock think it’ll be the same at LAX. 😟 It took me 45 minutes in gridlock to go 1.5 miles to the international terminal at 2130 on Wednesday to pick up family…and that was without any construction closures. I saw people running from cars to get to terminals faster. The terminal area horseshoe was better than the access roads getting into LAX. It would be faster to walk out of the airport to pick up passengers elsewhere. And the gridlock is always there even during times when it should be slower…like this Sunday morning. I’ve flown out of LAX since the mid 1950s & it’s only getting worse…avoid if at all possible.
  8. From the beginning of OceanNow with delivering food & drinks around the ship, I wondered how the already overworked crew could do it. Their morale must be low with the extra workload placed upon them by management sitting in their HQ office.
  9. All of my OBC has rolled over to the next cruises. On the MC app it shows multiple consecutive cruises as one cruise & thus had one folio.
  10. We’re booked on the March/April 2025 circumnavigation roundtrip Brisbane and have only seen the clockwise direction on Princess.
  11. There are a couple of things on the application form (not required to use the form when providing all of the necessary info) that Ken provided that Princess does not enforce. * It’s a simple credit to your onboard account from which all debits are deducted including gratuities & have read casino credits. * Since requiring prepaying for tours began several years Princess has allowed applying for SOBC when booking a cruise. I’ve had it issued more than 2 years in advance. However, I’ve read for those in the UK and possibly Australia they enforce the 3 month limit to apply.
  12. You’re correct…My FCDs bought on 4/7/22 were valid for cruises booked before the FCD’s Booked By date (4/5/24) for two Spring 2025 cruises. Future Cruise Deposit 04/07/22 Book By 04/05/24
  13. It’d be worth it to us. 😋 You could have a filet mignon entree and can request a different appetizer instead of the crab cake. We rarely modify the standard menu but once they had one of our favorites on the MDR menu…twice baked goat cheese soufflé…and we substituted it for the crab cake.
  14. Not surprising to me that prices are higher for this popular onetime itinerary…supply & demand. While I generally like seadays, having 8 out of 16 days isn’t desirable for me.
  15. Eats That Are Included You have so many options (that don’t cost extra!) https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/food-and-dining/whats-included/
  16. Happy to read about your good experience after reading several posts about beds on Crown being soft cratered mattresses. In Spring 2025 we sail Crown for 28 days & wouldn’t want a worn out mattress. Before their luxury mattresses were created had several sagging mattresses…once they put food trays between the mattress & support frame.
  17. They’re back to showing the Plus price again instead of Standard.
  18. How long ago? That was my experience when the change was made a year or two ago but now it shows the 50% discounted price for my elite level. I’ve read about passengers whose app does not show the correct Captain’s Circle level being charged full price & receiving credit onboard the ship.
  19. I have 2 cruises booked in Spring 2025 & both show the WiFi price although won’t purchase it until closer to sailing or onboard if I have enough OBC to pay for it.
  20. With the 50% discount for elite, platinum & suite (?) passengers: $20/day - 4 devices $7.50/day - 1 device In the Medallion app, you should be able to see your cost under the MedallionNet option…one device $52.50 (7 days); $105 (14 days).
  21. Here’s the view looking up towards the midship cabins with larger balconies from the open Promenade deck…it’s never been a problem for us. Open Promenade deck where it’s possible to look up towards balcony cabins (below E436).
  22. Yay…enjoy the remainder of your cruise & know that you’ll Shaka 🤙
