You’re right. I do get several free interiors and OVs. In fact, the strange thing was this was a deluxe OV with the 2 bathrooms. 😳. I really hate to give that up but this cruise is to St Martin, San Juan and St Thomas and having a balcony would be great. My DH hates cruising but I was thinking that if I turn this into a balcony and get my one time free steakhouse dinner, maybe he’d go. I’m going to have to think about this. Thanks for your advice. 👍

I’m turning Diamond in the next few cruises in Spring 2024. In Dec 2024, I see a free OV cabin which is a casino deal. My PCP says that I can book that OV now. Then when I turn Diamond in a few months I can use my one time upgrade to a balcony for the Dec 2024 cruise. My questions are: how does one do this? Do I need to call the diamond desk? Can my PVP do it? TIA.

The ship was fully booked shortly after I booked my cabin, about a month prior to sailing. I kept wondering why they were not assigning me a room since the ship was full. I thought for sure we were getting a lousy location, but was pleasantly surprised. 4th floor mid. I booked mine on a casino offer about a month out and an interior guarantee was the only option. I am not sure if me being Platinum had anything to do with it. The fact that it’s summer break was surprising to me to have a casino offer for 7 days in Alaska show up. Anyway, the casino got back the money for my cabin in spades. 😂

I printed them out and put them in the sleeves of my plastic luggage tags. They pulled them out, wrote on them with thick black marker. Yes, they said TBA.

Apparently, I was wrong. This is considered an interior with a window. Not a balcony. Still, it was great having a couch.

I just had one assigned at the pier last week on the Luminosa to Alaska, from Seattle. We had an inside guarantee and ended up with an obstructed balcony.

Yes. I have ATT and spoke with a couple while at port in Skagway. Sure enough, you can turn off airplane mode and not be charged while in Skagway and Juneau.

You won’t need jackets as it’s going to be hot. I bring a sweatshirt because sometimes the AC is freezing inside the comedy show. Unless you have early or late seating, it’s unlikely 9 people can sit together. I would try to change to early dining or be waitlisted. The casino has a nonsmoking side. There are plenty of slots unless you want a specific one all the time. If you want a front row seat for comedy or theater shows, show up 30 minutes prior to doors opening. Serenity is for over 21 but if your grand daughter looks over 21 and is quiet then nobody will notice. They don’t check. Charleston has a strange boarding system. You park, walk to the building, get checked in, sit in seats, then ride a bus across the parking lot to the terminal. I’d show up to the parking gate at 9:15. What time you get on board depends on how fast the previous people get off the ship. premium Wi-Fi works pretty well. I don’t know about starlink.

We’re back on the ship. I think we were afraid to turn off airplane mode because we may incur a fee. I tried going to the AT&T page, and googling, and could not really get a straight answer. probably should’ve figured this out before we left our houses. Thank you to all .

No. She had them both in airplane mode. Since Juneau is in US, can we turn off airplane mode and not incur fees?

She turned on airplane mode before we left the port. She was going to call ATT when we’re in Juneau. But is that going to incur charges once she turns off airplane mode? ATT completely locked her phone. I’m sure she can get the charge waived once she returns home.

My friend has not purchased Wi-Fi on Luminosa. I did. We’ve texted the past few days. She’s been on airplane mode the entire time. Today, ATT texted her and said they are turning off her data service in US and international because she has incurred over $100. 😳 Has anyone run into this before?

There was no one to ask in the casino. The Hub app just said after sail away. Elsewhere, nobody seemed to know. My answers were “soon” or ”not sure” or something like that. I finally got an answer from someone at a bar who said between 8-9 pm. A thousand pardons for inquiring if anyone else on CC has sailed Luminosa before. Geez.

We started sail away 30 minutes ago. About what time does the casino open? We’re just entering Puget Sound.

Because Luminosa has nothing. No guys burgers No jijis No blue iguana And apparently little ice. Just going by the reviews. I booked this without reading up on it. The CC reviews rate it as “poor”. 😳 I will see in about 2 weeks.

Wow. OP here. I can’t believe my biscuits and gravy thread has risen from the dead. As it turns out, someone must have just been a newbie cooking B&G — as the rest of the week it was the same normal runny gravy they always have. The day I posted this it was completely inedible. I usually have it on wheat toast as the biscuits are always inedible.

I like Quick Hit and Panda bear. If those aren’t available or someone is playing, then I don’t play. I like how the panda scurries up the wheel and then winks at you, then turns the wheel to higher points than what it landed on. LOL. I love that.

Other LIGHT snacks after 10 p.m. besides pizza. My wish would be pretzels, chips, popcorn, crackers. I’m not a pizza fan, nor do I want to wait in a line with 100 other people.
