Thanks for your responses.  I was hoping the new app would be more useful for communications.  On my last cruise we ended using WhatsApp.

I agree with you Rick, it would be so simple to fix. 

Does anyone know if you get notified when you receive a message on the app?

On the Island Princess in Nov. they served Alfredo's menu in Sabatini's at lunch time.

They had them on the Island last November.

We just came back from the exact itinerary you are doing. Panama, we did the Embera village (ship tour), and I highly recommend it. In Cartagena, we booked a private tour through Lee Miles ( Mister Emerald) which we enjoyed (tour B on his web site). In Puntarenas, we booked a tour with VicTour, to see Carrera Park and the Mangrove. We also enjoyed that tour. In Puerto Chiapas, we just walked around the port area. There is a covered market, a bar and a outdoor pool.

I had a good laugh looking at the Travelers' Century Club list of countries. They list Prince Edward Island as a country in North America. I wonder why they did not list Newfoundland? They are both islands and Canadian provinces.

We also recommend the Tilley hat. As for packing I just squish ours flat in our suitcase. I still have one of the original ones made of cotton, but my husband has one of the newer model LTM5 made of nylon with mesh on the side.
