I understand…Diamond doesn’t get that on Carnival unfortunately. That’s why I like being D+ on Royal. In Sydney right now, getting ready to board Ovation tomorrow. I figured with my 5 legs, I will have 270 vouchers 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Time to find friends. I rarely use the 5 a day.

January would probably be better. April will be Spring Break crowds and more lines. I sailed the Wonder TA in Oct. and didn’t really find any long wait times. I had a great time on the ship. If your SIL is going to be a Grumpasaurus Rex, maybe leave him home 😉

I have been on the Ovation 3 times, and boarding again in a couple of days. Kinky Boots has never been on any of my sailings, and to my knowledge never has been.

Yes, just me. One 29” and one 24”. I will be cruising South Pacific, NZ, TP, Hawaii, and then Alaska, so need both warm and cool weather clothes. I have been tossing around my carry on, and decided on my 40L backpack. I have my clothesline packed with my magnetic hooks. I get 2 free bags on Qantas with Premium Economy and 70lbs each. I won’t need that much, but if I’m a bit over 50, I won’t need to stress.

Take advantage of the solo meetups each night. You might meet people that would be interested in dining with you. There are also lots of ways to meet others around the ship. Don’t rule out couples who might invite you to join them one night. It doesn’t need to be other solos.

I will pay attention to the app on my upcoming 5 legs on the Ovation. Although I never noticed it before on the Ovation, I also wasn’t really paying attention.

There is a free text feature on the app. While some have report not getting any alert, others have been able to turn on notifications for the app and see messages. Worst case scenario is you will just need to check it occasionally.

On the Navigator for New Years, this was before the once a day started, they left the pull down bed (granddaughter) down all week. Although I kept telling myself over and over to watch my head, I did manage to bonk it a few times.

I was on the New Years sailing and did not need to be reserved, and there is no charge. It showed a few times.

Good job Theresa. I leave Wed. for Sydney for my 54 night adventure on Ovation. 1 large and 1 med suitcase packed full. Love packing cubes for sure. Have fun!

Amen. The one nice thing about getting older and retired. Long cruises only for me. The only thing now is the grumpy, complaining adults, but being solo, very easy to avoid. LOL

If you are sailing in May, look for entertainment reservations to open on Apr. 1. You can also reserve on the website.

My edocs are showing available on a one of my cruises that is still 46 days out, so just keep checking. I think average is still 30ish days.

You don’t pick a boarding time, although many continue to call it that. You pick an arrival time. If you have all passengers linked, you should be able to see them all when you bring up the app. Once your arrival/check in time is available, you should be able to click on everyone and pick a time. You do not need to fill out all the other info at that time. Everyone can come back later and fill out all their other info.

Since you are new to Royal, download the app before you board.

You can reserve dinner times on the app. Depending on how busy they may be, you mayor may not get in without a reservation. People that make reservations, don’t always show up. I would make reservations just to make sure.

It looks like all offers may be on cruises 7 days or less. Has anybody gotten the offer on longer cruises? I may have missed it on the thread. All of my cruises this year are 8+ nights. Whether it’s a mistake or not, I would still book it, just for the internet, if it was offered.
