  1. Other than many Caribbean cruises, I have also been to Europe twice, various places in Asia over the years, and my passport was always fine. One of those trips was to Indonesia, which is really not that far from Australia. So, distance really doesn't have much to do with it. Thank you for letting me know the travel requirements.
  2. Thanks to both of you for letting me know this. I had no idea it was any different than cruising to the Caribbean or the Med. I have lots of time as my cruise doesn't leave until December 30th 2022. I will keep tabs on how long it takes to get a visa as we get a little closer.
  3. Ok, I get it. So it's a covid protocol. This wasn't needed before covid, right?
  4. A visa is required? Do you mean a passport, or something different to go to Australia?
  5. My advice is to order the Binax at home self test kit. It came pretty promptly to my door.
  6. That's funny. My first instinct was, that his shoes were so stinky, she couldn't handle it. The only place to put them in a sealed environment was in the fridge.
  7. I had a cruise out of Sydney booked for Jan, 2022. My son was supposed to get married Jan, 2021, and had to postpone for a year, so I postponed my cruise on the Splendor to Jan 2023. Hopefully by then, we will be back to some sort of normalcy, whatever that means.
  8. Thats a good point. I assumed that it would be supervised, but maybe you are right.
  9. The form never asked me which shot I had. I am not high risk either. I was eligible based on the questions asked.
  10. It appears to be the same exact test that is approved for carnival. I have no idea if other states are doing this, but Colorado is. You have to fill out a form to see if you are eligible. I hope this is helpful to someone. Here is the link. https://covid19.colorado.gov/testing.
  11. You may also want to look at the Pride out of Tampa.
  12. I respect you for not wanting to request assistance. About 5 years ago, I ruptured a couple of disks, needed surgery. Surgery was about a month out and we had a med cruise scheduled in a couple of weeks. After many conversations about cancelling the cruise, we decided to go forward. I did ask for assistance at the port. It was WONDERFUL! I would recommend it. They were so nice to me, and we were able to get on the ship without the lines. My husband had to jog to keep up. It was a tough trip as far as pain. I often say that I would like to do that one again. Those "stupid" pain pills I had to take certainly interfered with my ability to enjoy some of it. Thats another story...It's ok to ask for assistance . They will be there waiting for you. You will be glad you did.
