Not sure when the pass off took place, Capt Arild Hansen was on the Quantum on Sept. 12 when we boarded.

I have no second thoughts about sailing on the Quantum in 10 days. I am confidence in Royal's training programs. I am also confident that if there was an issue that would put the safety of the vessel in question, they would not risk continuing to sail it. Things happen and that is why they train.

I do not believe anyone has ever received an Odyssey block. Is there anyone out there that has received one?

Going from Brillance to Enchantment some of the port changes went down a little.

On the other side, those of us that change from BR to EN got a decrease in taxes. On our 4 cruises 2 of them went down only a couple $ and 2 went down about $45. Not sure how they are calculated but it appears the class of ship gets factored in somehow.

This is obviously a very fluid situation. I received an email from my TA that 2 of my 4 sailings had new cabin assignments. By the time I woke up and was ready to respond, the other 2 were done. What is interesting is that when I look up my cruises on the Royal website the new cabins are there. When looking then up on the app, it is not there yet. still "working on it"

That is a strange one.

Has anyone started to get their new cabin assignments for the Enchantment for sailings in the summer or fall of 2023? If so what sailing dates?

As I recall they did a drydock in 2021 to take care of Marine Maintenace, but postponed work in other areas.

I am waiting for those dates as well. They are now showing as cancelled on my list of pending cruises. I expect they will be assigning soon. My TA called and was not able to get assignments yet.

When the changes are made you should keep the same booking number and any OBC's should go with it.

I am not thrilled with the change to the Enchantment but there is not really a good option to change to. I was looking forward to sailing on Brilliance, the only Radiance class we have not sail on. I find it interesting that they have reopened the westbound TA before they have reassigned cabins from the change. I am a little concerned about how they will transfer my B4B bookings. I will not be happy if I do not get the same cabin for all 4.

They did not mention which ship required the change...

I saw that rumor earlier today. It would not be a big surprise but would be disappointing.

I had heard from a good source that the suspension was most likely going to be forever.

The air situation is crazy this year for a lot of reasons. Alaska cruises are cheaper than they have ever been, but the air is crazy. I can remember back in the 80's and early 90's we could fly to Florida and cruise for less than the cost of cruising Alaska with needing air. I have seen some Alaska cruises where the port fees/taxes were more than the cruise.

They may not show up until after they start shipping Odyssey blocks.

Last Thanksgiving the Harmony was at 104%.

As long as you are in airplane mode, you are good. Sometimes I still get email alerts but that is not a problem, they are not charged.

It could be that Serenade passengers are going to be offered a shift to Brillance and they are holding all space until that offer expires. I did notice that disappearance starts with the Eastbound TA and ends with the Westbound TA.

I just got a reply from the Skagway visitors website. No more tendering! The dock is open to foot traffic.

Does anyone have firsthand knowledge of the status of the dock is Skagway? Has it been opened up to foot traffic yet? or are they still tendering?
