  1. They offered a full refund if you left the ship OR 125% FCC.
  2. Did you truly mean SAN, or did you mean SNA?
  3. Usually Panorama has been getting sent to a 3rd party parking facility by the Long Beach Convention Center. The complaints I see are people not paying attention to the emails and then showing up at the dome and are upset that they can't park there.
  4. When I was on Panorama in Jan 2023, we did not dock until 09:00. It seems that ship is always docking later than normal. I'm used to the ships being in port around 6 so we can debark around 7-8. This is one time I would not attempt to that 11:00 flight.
  5. No the same choices. I think they offer it cheaper to get some revenue with that space.
  6. Weird, normally we would be seeing that across all of the FB groups. So I don't know if I believe its been down for months.
  7. Newbies cannot drop their stuff in the cabins. You can, but they cannot go to their cabin until 1:30.
  8. Emerils isn't really specialty dining, its more of a casual diner that you walk up to. I've never had bad luck with the steakhouse, but my favorite spot onboard is the Bonsai Teppanyaki. Closest one to my house is over an hr away so we don't do it at home, so its a treat on the cruise.
  9. I visit the steakhouse at least once every cruise. Its always been really good for me, but I do acknowledge that others have had bad experiences.
  10. Not usually. Usually the only places open are the lido type venues. Guys, Blue Iguana, Buffet, Pizza, deli, etc.
  11. Yes, you can order a gallon of it. Its roughly $4. I just use bottled water for the week.
  12. I've never been impressed with it onboard any ships. I'll do the free lunch, but usually stay away from dinner. There are a few good options, but not enough to waste a dinner there, IMO.
  13. I would ask this in the West Coast thread. That being said, I like going there for dinner and we usually walk around.
  14. I use it for the 10% off excursions, but other than that I use my Costco credit card that gives me 3% on ALL travel. Not just 2% on Carnival like their card offers.
  15. Pig and Anchor is included in the cruise fare, BUT they do have items available for an upcharge.
  16. I think its more of it leaves a lasting impression on you and when they changed, it was very noticeable for people who cruise pretty often. I noticed a difference in cruises 4 months apart.
  17. I will agree with this, but I'd rather a private Uber/Lyft vs a shared shuttle especially if the prices are similar. Especially if I will have to wait for a shuttle which seems very likely.
  18. Anyone have recent Uber/Lyft costs from MCO to Cape Canaveral? We will be landing at MCO at 4:15, so I think we would be getting to an Uber/Lyft around 4:45-5:00. Trying to decide if Uber/Lyft is better than a shuttle.
  19. I don't hear too many people talking on their phones onboard. I do hear people yelling in the walkie talkies and the damned beeping during the shows.
  20. Its about time. I stopped going to Guys all together since they restarted after COVID. I though the burgers and fries went down hill. Now I'll at least go back for some fries.
  21. For slots, there is no fee. If you decide to charge table play to your room, there is a 3% charge(based on Nov 2023, it may have changed since then)
  22. I'm not a fan of the shows. I go to the comedy club and piano bar. If you need them to provide your entertainment, maybe YOU shouldn't be traveling. Upgraded free food? The free options on the Excel class are worse than on the Vista class. Chibang is a joke.
  23. Because we know how to do things for ourselves and don't need all that junk to entertain us. I don't plan on sail on an Excel class ship again.
  24. From what I understand(I could be wrong), there isn't enough room for the larger ships to turn once in the port area.
