  1. Hi Polphi Welcome to cruise critic. As Schoifmom has said, your family member "might" be able to get away without having to pay any penalties if you just don't show up. Again, as said, do not cancel. The key is that they may have to pay full price for both persons. The main problem is that this promotion is only allowed to be used by the person that it was addressed to, and also it is stated that you were required to sail. Your family member cannot replace you without paying full current price for anyone who sails. We all get promotional offers, some better than others, we cannot trade these offers. If it was as easy as you had hoped, everyone would do it. Maybe someone who has personal experience will chime in, but I wouldn't be too sure of it happening without extra cost, especially if you contact them to remove your name from the booking.
  2. Hi Yesterday we arrived at Pearson Int. Airport 3 hrs. before our flight. It took us pretty much the whole three hours to get to the gate. They were almost finished boarding. I tried to use the app. but it wouldn't accept until we were almost at the customs officer. The different line if the the app.had worked from the start would have saved about 20 min. Nexus saves you time right from the sart. The main issue was that there were so many people. This was for an 8a.m. departure. You just have to bring a lot of patience.

  4. Hi Our experience with a similar situation, with a one hour window for the connection (but our connection was in Montreal); we got to our flight with no problem. Our bags unfortunately didn't make it on our flight. Toronto is considerably busier. These days, I imagine a lot has to do with luck, time of day, how many people are off sick, that kind of stuff. Bring a change of clothes in your carry-on, and be patient. Good luck and happy cruising
  5. Hi If you have the time in case of a possible long wait on the phone (I just put the phone on speaker and go about things I need to do around the house), give them a call. That way everything if finalized right away. You will know the ship, sailing, cabin number, exact cost, everything done. good luck happy sailing
  6. Hi Just call them or fill out the online form. If you call, be prepared for a sometimes long wait for them to answer. I have been surprised a few times with them answering within a few minutes. happy sailing
  7. Hi I understand that what is important is different for each of us, so, just trying to understand, what is it that you feel you will miss out on? You will still get the meal you paid for. Nobody is forcing you to eat at that venue at that time.
  8. Hi There have always (at least since I first joined CC) been a lot of negative reviews. The only change has been what the focus of the complaints have been. Most issues nowadays seem to center on how things have deteriorated from times past. So, when you speak of the "sparkle being lost", you are speaking from the point of view from someone who has done this before. From what I have seen, even in the past few years while wearing masks, people that I have sailed with, who were on their first cruise have found it a wonderful experience. Put in perspective, I once thought camping out in tents was a great experience and would do it as often as I could. Would I do it now? Not likely. It isn't the experience that has changed, I have changed. As a vacation choice, cruising is still a very good option, with an unbelievable selection.
  9. Hi Thank you. I wasn't aware of this. We generally only buy bottles of wine because we really aren't big drinkers. This is good to know since we do typically stop by the casino in the evening for a bit. Unfortunately, if what happened with Fly and Sail is the case, then no free drinks for anyone. Did you get any idea if it was just a staffing issue for that particular cruise? I can't imagine any casino operating without any servers circulating throughout the venue. I could certainly see upset patrons, especially if they did have a drink package.
  10. Hi there I have a cruise coming up through a BBC offer, and I was wondering if the drinks are always free while playing in casino with these promotional offers? I wasn't told of this being the case or seen it written in any of the material I have received. Is this stated anywhere, or have you just had past experience? thanks
  11. Hi Mine was added without notice as well (so, check), within a couple of weeks. I submitted the online form through email. I would suggest anyone not getting a response within a reasonable amount of time, resubmit the form first, and then call if there is still no response.

  13. Hi everyone. So, I am not going to get concerned too much at what my Arrival group time is, but I am having a more basic issue. I can't seem to find where on the app I get to make this selection. Can someone help me out? I know I am within the window where I would be able to do this. I'll keep looking in the meantime. thanks
  14. They don't ship the medallions to you unless you live in the U.S.. For everyone else you pick it up at the ship. No problem.
  15. Hi Yes. Do what makes you feel comfortable. Personally, when in a crowd, it makes me feel more comfortable to wear a mask. Easy. It's not like it's a dress code where some will always complain.
