  1. NCL. Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Princess have announced no cruises from USA until at least end of February or March. Announcement was made this morning or earlier.
  2. There is a link to the document you refer to on this site. This is the up to date Health Panel's latest rulings and changes for re-instating cruising. This was released to agents today and will effect all cruise lines, ports and disembarkation locations. Of course, any of it is subject to change and the height of the Covid 19 virus in the part of the world where you may be living or visiting. Page 54 speaks of excursions and plans.
  3. We had a wedding in downtown Boston early in October last year and I too was very disappointed we could not enjoy this experience. I've stayed at the Hyatt Boston airport hotel and faced no issues compared to the Hilton which has paper thin walls. I'm hoping the Hilton Faneuil Hall on Broad St. is where I would like to stay but I am not paying $500 a night. Average hotel pricing in October should be about $250. Also taxi's are not as easy to hail these days, so you may wish to install Uber or Lyft ap on your phone. I think we will have to do that before August. 2021.
  4. Yes keep checking. I'm from the NE area but have moved South. I'm booked to sail August 29, 2021 and hotels are just starting to pop up for booking. Just found the Hyatt Boston Harbor which is close to the water taxi or commuting into the tourist areas. I always recommend the HOHO Trolley for first time visitors (skip Cheers as it is a tourist trap). Bring warm jacket as it does get cool between the tall high rise buildings. The Museum with Planetarium used to be great. A walk through the Boston Common and the Public Garden are nice but the swan boats will be put away by then. Don't miss
  5. Princess just announced more Cancellations; call your TA and check to see if yours was cancelled before paying.
  6. I agree, Hyatt Place off 17th (on 10th) is usually great for the money. As we drive down, we usually need a parking package and travel to and from the port. I have used their Parking and paid for their shuttle driver. Parking for us at Park n Go, has worked. I just add in the parking fee.
  7. We like the Embassy Suites, 17th St. but lately their pricing has been high but we do travel in Prime season. We have also stayed at the Hyatt Place, right around the corner, which is fine. Love the close proximity for eating and shopping if necessary. You can even go to Publix and make a to go salad from their salad bar.
  8. We stayed at the Radisson as it had a Parking Package which included shuttle to the port. Room was clean, hotel was nice with a lovely Tropical Pool area. Only disappointment was no restaurant. For lunch we went walked right next door to this little Greek restaurant. Very clean with wonderful Mediterranean food. I am sure there are other small restaurants nearby. You do need to sign up for the shuttle which starts taking people over to the port pretty early like 10 AM, so it wouldn't be long before you would be on board and getting a bite to eat.
  9. We are in our 70's and I have diabetes and am subject to Asthma and Bronchitis. We have two cruises booked late Jan. 2021 and late August 2021. Cruise lines know your age as it is entered on your booking (for any senior discounts). I am not going to fuss about this new restriction now as who knows what the future brings. I'll cancel if need by just before final payment is due the end of October.
  10. Maris, thanks for posting all of your Colombia photos and review. We loved Dora when we took her tour many years ago. We just took a taxi downtown and it was so crowded it was unbearable. Pushing the Rollator and trying to "watch my step" was all I had to do. We were fortunate that we got to climb the fort, but it was very rough even then. Glad I got to do it then as walking is limited now. The Barracks had great shopping stores. Loved your outside and street view shots. I really could not appreciate the historic beauty of Old Downtown this visit. I liked walking through the little avia
  11. Love your pictures as well Les & Melody. We 4 got to enjoy it earlier in the week on a sea day. That Seafood tower looks great but I do prefer my lobster warm.

  13. Glad you arrived home safely and have decided to self quarantine. It was a pleasure to meet you once again. I layed low much of the cruise. I definitely didn't get my monies worth out of the Drink package, but that's OK. With a limited appetite, I just didn't feel like my usual Irish Coffee each afternoon. I never even got my free Gelato. So far I'm loving your photo story especially since I didn't get off the ship in many places. You went the southern route in Bonaire from the picture of the wind sails at Sorobon. We did the Northern and it was bumpy and boring. Only local focal point
