  1. Question 1. If concierge class gets lunch in dining room on boarding day, What dining room would it be at on Edge class ship? They don't have a main dining room. Question 2. What is the minimum drinking age on Celebrity? My 18 year old Grandson is going. Thanks all for the info.
  2. Some ports are by tender. If a port you want is by tender, you will not be able to get off the ship. You have to be able to walk and do steps. I am confined to a scooter and could not get off the ship in some ports.
  3. I always pack my own shampoo and conditioner. This past cruise I decided to try the conditioner provided in the shower. It was fine. One less thing to pack. Also here's a tip. Double check your bring your prescriptions and enough of them. Our last cruise I realized I forgot my blood preasure meds. Luckily our first port was Key West, But it was a Sunday. We went to the closest Walgreens, 8 blocks from port. Their RX dept. is closed on Sunday. So I had to go way further to a CVS that was open for RX's. It took forever, but I got my pills. What would I do if no US ports??
  4. We will be in a Concierge class cabin on Edge. What benefits does Concierge give us over a regular balcony cabin?
  5. +OMG If you can afford the cruise, the airfare, the hotel.. you can afford a cab or uber.
  6. We were on Apex a couple of weeks ago in a Sky Suite. We had dinner one night at Blu. We were not happy with the menu or the food. The other restaurants were better. We won't pay extra for Aqua class in the future.
  7. Book a suite and your butler will bring you any drink you want.
  8. You can also order something from one of the other dining rooms if there is nothing you want in the dining room your in. Also, there is a children's menu you can order from.
  9. We just cruised out Port Everglades and dropped off our luggage at 10 AM and then circled around and parked in the garage.
  10. We arrived early at Ft. Lauderdale terminal, around 10 AM to make sure we could park in the garage. Dropped off the luggage, parked and made our way to the suite check in. Easy as could be. We were seated in their suite waiting area and very shortly were escorted onboard. Dropped off our carry on. stowed the jewelry in the safe and went for lunch. A few comments on the sky suite. It was very large, but the veranda was a problem for me as I am confined to my power scooter. I could go out on the veranda, but not back in. There was a high ledge on the floor and I couldn't go over it. We called guest services to report this problem and asked for a ramp as other cabins have. No luck. FYI we were in cabin 11123 which was accessible, they said they couldn't do anything about it. Otherwise everything was perfect. Met our cabin steward and butler. I told the butler we were easy folks and wouldn't need him for much. Only 1 morning on the cruise we slept late and called him for breakfast for DH and a club sandwich for me. It was delivered shortly and we enjoyed. The shows and not my thing as I find them boring so I skipped them but DH and daughters went to several. Some good, some not so much. Ports were so so. 2 were tendering and as I'm in a scooter could not get off the ship. I didn't really care as Grand Caymen and Belize were not new to us after many cruises. I enjoyed relaxing and reading. The food in luminea and other restaurants were good. We order off the kids menu several times as it had Filet Mignon. Also ordered from other restaurants as well. The servers were wonderful and always got us what we wanted. We usually went to dinner around 7 and were seated promptly. Tried Blu one night but it wasn't as good as we remembered from other cruises. The retreat lounge was pleasant for drinks, but the chairs were very uncomfortable. They served cold cuts, chease , and melon to snack on. That was dissapointing and seemed very cheap. Overall we enjoyed our cruise very much. It was a beautiful ship and we look forward to out next cruise on Edge in March.
  11. BOA is a great company. If you call them and explain your issue with the credit card dept. they will take care of it. If for some reason it hasn't been applied after you fulfilled the offer, simply ask and you shall receive.
  12. We booked with this company pre- Covid. Cancelled when Covid was really rearing it's ugly head. Then the next day all cruises were cancelled. The agency refused to refund the deposit penalty they bury in their fine print. Still don't have my money but you can bet I'll never book with them again.
  13. We are going on a 10 night Southern Caribbean cruise. Someone told me that Celebrity requires a covid test. We are fully vaccinated. I called Celebrity and was told no, but I want to double check to be safe.
  14. Book these offers while you can. As long as ships are sailing with open cabins these offers will continue. But once people start sailing, and soon, these offers will end. We just got 2 more and booked them. My daughters who are to gamblers in the family, turn down free offers daily. They got 2 sky suites on Apex and are taking us!
  15. I love to shop in these stores onboard and listen to the garbage the sales staff tries to tell me. Never buy anything they say is valuable as it probably is not. When I want quality pieces I shop at home. Buyer Beware! Sorry you had a bod experience and hope they make it good on your next cruise.
  16. I would protest the charge for the bracelet to my credit card. I had bought a bracelet in Jamaica and when I got home a diamond fell out of it. I protested the charge to AE and they took the charge off my bill and told me to keep the bracelet. I offered to send it back to them, but they didn't want it.
  17. If your looking for a hotel near the airport and port and are going to spend a few days and not just overnight, check our the Lago Mar. My friends have been staying there for several trips here and love it. Hotel is boutique type, on the water, beautiful beach, restaurant is excellent. We have had many meals there when our friends stayed there and loved it. They even had a private ceremony and dinner there for around 50 people.
  18. I have emailed special needs several time in the past with questions and never got a reply. I didn't realize I was supposed to let them know I was bringing a heating pad and NO ONE every said a word to me about it while boarding or using it onboard. If you want to tell me what to do, why don't you address all the people who book an accessible cabin because they want the extra space and not because they need it? I can't cruise without an accessible cabin. Every time I have asked for one I have never been asked for proof that I need one. If Celebrity doesn't follow their "rules", why should I??
  19. I have cruised many many times and always bring a heating pad. I pack it in my carry on and have never had anyone question it. I have sever leg pains and cannot leave home without one.
  20. Miami to Ft. Lauderdale is not a 45 minute drive, much shorter, depending on traffic. I would stay in Ft. Lauderdale near the port, some very nice hotels there. Then only 5 minutes to the port.
  21. As usual, they lied to you. I don't gamble yet we got the offer. And I book the Beyond for Dec. 4.
  22. What payment are you referring to? Only cost is port charges and taxes and you have to pay that when you book. It is refundable if you cancel. Only other charge is tips, which you pay onboard. what
  23. We already have a cruise booked for January, but are still taking a free cruise in December. Free is free! Nice to be retired.
