Does anyone know who the International Dance couple will be on the Baltic Explorer cruise on QV, [16 Nights (V913)
19 May - 4 Jun 2019] ?  It is nice to know who will be doing the ballroom/Latin dance classes and the  show dances in the Queens Room ahead of embarkation. Dancers do chat to the dance pros and sometimes get to know which dates they will be on which ship in the coming months.

I seem to remember that Cunard used to have an email address for customer services where this kind of question could be asked - but I couldn't find it anywhere on the new Cunard web site.

    Thanks.

We have just left QV and I am sure Sasha and maja said they would be still on

they are really nice people and can dance too

say hi from me (Eleanor and Norman)

He certainly is.  One of the best 'Male Social Hosts' ever to grace a Cunard ship. Outstanding !

He was on QV and as stated was leaving when we got to southampton

I have to agree best host we have seen on any cruise ship and  he will be a sad loss

good luck to sadeki whatever he does next

Can you tell us what happened. It would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi sorry for late response I have just seen your post

my friend received a call back from her TA saying they had rechecked with Cunard and it was just the cost of the cruise that was taken into account should they wish to transfer

  5. Please could anyone give me some advice for my friend

cruise M005A has been booked including flights,  total deposit was £1400,  Total cost of cruise and flights Is @ £10k

they now need  to transfer to another cruise

They know there is an admin fee to change the cruise, and aware it has to be equal or more cost wise, ideally the new cruise would be out of Southampton so no flights required

however they are being told by the TA (who say they have confirmed with Cunard) that they need to book a cruise that is in excess of the total costs £10k

Has anyone had experience of this  ? It seems to me a bit unfair

hope that makes sense, any advice appreciated

just to confirm booked in the UK

Any idea of the cost of private dance lessons on-board?

We had private lessons on QV at Xmas and the cost is $70 fir 45

there was no professional dancer on board one of the entertainment team did the lessons

  7. So sorry to sound negative, but I'm afraid the grass is not always greener on the other side of the pond. I can never understand why some Brits book with US agents, thinking it may save them bob or two. Many of their/US booking conditions have not always been as favourable as we have in the UK.

Also; I've always understood that a Brit booking through a US agent, often causes confusion with ones CWC level. ( days at sea) ?

I don’t disagree with you grass and greener although we had a fantastic deal so all in all it was worth it

  8. we booked our cruise with a US agent (we live in the uk)

We decided to request an upgrade BF balcony cabin to mid or aft BE or above

I have done this previously with uk agents

Well after 4 days of e mails, going backwards and forwards including screen shots of the policy from our brochure ) due to my persistence the agent did a conference call with a US Cunard agent so I was able to ask queries the costs, the US rule is you pay today’s prices for any upgrade, which would have cost us in excess of $3000 dollars to go from a BF to a BE, which knowing my luck would be next door *♀️

So guess we are staying where we are ah oh

Just wanted to make UK aware

  9. Hi all, we are due to sail on Britannia 20th May it’s a double celebration for my husband (60th bday and retirement ) our daughter who is travelling with us would like to make and decorate a cake to bring on board for us to eat on his bday in the cabin

    Is that possible ?

    Thank you in advance

  10. We are first timers on Riviera.....need to know from those of you who have had more experience with Oceania cruising...If we don’t spend all of our onboard credit money, will we get the balance when we check out at the end of the cruise????

Hi I am sure all lines are the same you need to spend it all you won’t get a credit if you have anything left go spend it in the on board shops

  11. Just got back from QE to Canaries in a Q1.

Afternoon tea now served in Princess grills restaurant.

Served on an individual cake stand. No sandwich or roll choice given

( until asked for), then we were begrudgingly given a choice.

    Scones were served cold.

Got the impression they would prefer us to go to Queens room.

Obviously they are trying to reduce service further.

Hi John ( hope it’s the right John ) here’s wishing you and Nicola a very merry Xmas and enjoy your Q.V. cruise Eleanor and norman

  12. Hi prior to October this year we had sailed with Celebrity 5 times and princess 3 times

Cunard - we are hooked ( not sure if being in queens grill assisted with that) booked another 2 while on board and going again this year for Xmas and new year ( in an inside cabin ) maybe a different experience ? fingers crossed it’s not too different

We loved everything about it difficult to put in words but it far exceeded our expectations

    Happy sailing 🚢

  13. There is a scale, but it's next to useless unless in port, the ship's motion makes it vary quite a bit, so you can't get a consistent reading

Thanks for the replies regarding the X-Dream and the spinning classes - I wonder if I can connect my Garmin Edge to it to record my workouts?

My husband records all his exercise on his garmin when he is exercising on the gym bikes

  14. My husband is a keen cyclist and said he found 1 bike in the gym that was good ( he is away until Thursday so can get more detailed info then)

He did sign up for spin class (15 dollars ) he was the only one there and said it was very tame so didn’t sign up for any more as did no one else

    Hope that helps :)
