  1. Hi again,

Can someone please tell what the following codes mean? We have booked 2 soft drinks packages and 1 water package..cause we do not drink alcohol and we are only interested in water and soft drinks. We are not interested in any other beverage packages. Are these their codes please? Thanks in advance.

     8951-BKALCH-THIRST

  2. I dont know of any complimentary baggage storage facility at the Barcelona cruise terminal. Perhaps someone else knows otherwise. But....

Although there are no self storage lockers for bags and luggage at the Barcelona cruise terminals there is a company called Bags&Go who also have an office at the Barcelona cruise port that can deal with your luggage storage and bag transfer requirements. This means you can drop off all your luggage and bags at the port with Bags&Go and go sightseeing right away. Your bags will then be transferred to your chosen destination and securely stored until you pick them up. This saves you time and inconvenience lugging around your bags or trying to find a storage location.

The price for the Premium service is 12 euro per bag, provided that the booking is made from the website. If done at the desk, the price is 15 euro per bag.

  3. Thanks for the prices and pictures...Very much appreciated. We will surely buy the Seaview model when we re onboard in July... Unfortunately we did not buy the model of the MSC Splendida when we cruised on it some 8 years ago. Only lately we have decided to collect them. Wonder if there is on online shop or something where we can get it.

The answer is yes. They sell beautiful and quite detailed models in the MSC logo shop onboard. Se my photo of the MSC Seaview model, which is the sistership of the MSC Seaside.

    Have a great cruise 👍

Cannes is a very walkable place. Unless you have mobility issues, it's a 10 minute walk around the harbour (Le Vieux Port) from one drop off point to another. As the train boarding point is so close to the Gare Maritime I'd figure a maximum 20 minute walk (at a very leisurely pace) if you end being dropped off at Quai du Large/Quai Laubeuf.

Thank you very much for your helpful answer. We dont have mobility issues, so it will be nice to go for a walk as well. 🤗

The Seaview is embarking in Cannes this year and Hlitner is correct it is from Quai du Large

We will be cruising on the Seaview in July and one of the ports to visit is indeed Cannes. Does the ship stop at Quai du Large , from Quai Laubeuf or the new Gare Maritime please? We would like to do a tour on the Petite Train and would like to know whether we can reach its starting point on foot from where the tender boats leaves us. Thanks in advance.

  7. Hi. I am Maltese. Valletta, Mdina and Rabat are all very fascinating places to visit, historically speaking (and not only!). Malta is full of history and there are many places of historical importance to visit (especially in Valletta, Mdina & Birgu). And I agree with 'plimouth pilgrims', and many other cruisers, that the sailing in our port is absolutely breathtaking. I never miss it when I cruise :classic_cool: :classic_rolleyes:

  8. Hi..i dont know if I can help... We will be in cabin 10027 on the SEAVIEW...  Our cabin has a balcony with steel balustrade, as per the image shown (image provided by Skier52)...if Seaside has the same configuration, I think yours will have a steel balustrade too.

  9. Hi.. sorry if this has been already asked... Some weeks ago we bought some water and soda packages from MSC website to utilize on our 27/7/19 cruise on the Seaview (these are shown on my 'Summary Cruise')... Now we decided to add more soda packages, but when we access Our Booking on the MSC website, the system does not give us the option to do so (under On Board Services). Does anyone know why this is so please? or, perhaps tell us if we are doing something wrong? Thank you

  10. Hi. Can someone please tell me whether the Seaview docks or tenders in the following ports?

    Cannes

    Palma de Mallorca

    Ajaccio

Do you have to wait long in line for the tender boats?

Do the tender boats come and go all the time?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

  11. Thank you very much for your informative review. We are Maltese and we will be sailing on her next July..

Can you please tell me which is the best inside place on the ship where one can view its entrance in ports (if we wish to watch it from inside)?

Once again, thank you for the review and food pictures...you made me feel REALLY hungry...
