  1. You don't need show reservations on HAL ships. It's first come, first served, so you go to the main stage, take your seat and you're done.
  2. Good morning, thanks for the Fleet Report and Daily! Happy Hanukkah to all my Daily friends who celebrate this special time of year!! I'm going to run out and get another roll (or two) of cookie dough to bake up for the grandsons, there are no twins in our family, and I'll happily celebrate corn flakes. We'll head out this morning to do some Christmas drop-offs for neighbours who have moved away, as well as some small gifts for DH's daughter and son. While we're out we will do what I hope to be a final grocery run before we leave for Calgary. I've got the laundry baskets partially filled with things I'm going to need to make a full dinner away from home - it's just easier than trying to figure out how to put a 15 pound turkey into a 10 pound pot. Roasting pan, carving board, electric carving knife, etc., have already found their way into the basket. @ottahand7Happy Birthday to you with many returns of the day! @smitty34877thank you for sharing another beautiful photo of Miss Camilla; she's such a treasure. Prayers coming your way for you and your surgical team for tomorrow. I like today's menu suggestion, but the air fryer is currently sitting out on our deck - I needed room on the counter to bake, etc., so moved it outside for a while. I do have some frozen porcupine balls that will make their way into the oven and can whip up a couple of servings of spaghetti while they're simmering in the oven. So, it's looking like we'll be having spaghetti and porcupine balls at the kitchen table tonight. And wine. Prayers for everyone who needs them, and cheers to all with celebrations. Be safe, stay well. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  3. I think that's it for me today as well - thanks everyone; see you tomorrow!
  4. Good morning, thanks for the Fleet Report and Daily! I enjoy maple syrup on pancakes with peanut butter; the pb cuts the sweetness of the syrup. A few Christmases ago we had an ugly Christmas sweater contest - it was hilarious. Yay for the Wright Brothers, although flying was a lot more fun a few years ago. Well the dreaded storm didn't really affect our province - some folks in he southeastern part got snow, but nothing like was predicted, thankfully. Watching the news, however, it seems Mother Nature is leaving her calling cards all over parts of eastern Canada and the U.S.. If you're involved in this system, be careful - that snow can be heavy, and deadly if you're shoveling. We had a lovely time yesterday afternoon visiting our friends; she made a charcuterie board out of cookies and chocolate - yum! Before we left, she gave us a treat bag with an assortment of cookies, as well as a couple of bottles of my favourite Bath & Body Works soaps for my birthday. Very thoughtful! @smitty34877I'm so happy you've been cleared for surgery! @kazu and @lindalerBon Voyage!! I think I'd like to try today's menu suggestion, although it does sort of sound like Hamburger Helper. LOL I'm going through the fridge, trying to clear it out before we leave next week, so I think I'll end up making ham and vegetable omelettes for us to enjoy at the kitchen table tonight. And wine. I saw this and it gave me a chuckle; I hope it does for you as well: Prayers for all who are in need, cheers to everyone who has a celebration going on. Be well, stay safe. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  5. @lindalersafe travels today and Bon Voyage for tomorrow!
  6. Good morning, thanks for the Fleet Report and Daily! It's nice to see another day of reconciliation; we celebrated ours in September. Hello: chocolate!?! Haven't had a stupid toy since last year when we opened our Christmas crackers. I'm going to add the drink of the day to my list to try on our next BHB. We've been to Funchal a number of times on TA's, but certainly the last time was most enjoyable. Like @SusieKIslandGirl, we were on a David's Taxi tour with @kazuand had the most amazing tour of the island. One of my favourite funny memories of the tour was a brief washroom stop that I could only describe as "exhilarating". LOL @Crazy For Catslove the meme - can I steal it for another site? A couple of things on the agenda today, first I need a gel nail fill - mine are getting way too long; I know this because I'm using the backspace button much too often. Then this afternoon we've been invited over to friends for coffee and cookies - she's a great cook, so I can't wait for the visit. Saw this meme and it reminded me of the 3 trips to Michaels I made last week . . . Today's menu suggestion is a good one, especially since it's Friday! We'll likely stop at a small pizza shop on the way home from our afternoon visit and pick up a couple of slices to enjoy at the kitchen table tonight. And wine. Prayers for everyone who is needing them, cheers to all with celebrations going on. Be well, stay safe. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  7. I've waited this long and now I have to go - we've got company at the door. Somebody please wave for me. LOL
  8. Sounds like a smaller craft is in their way - Captain said they're trying to depart.
  9. Checking in - been watching the yacht being loaded; very interesting, indeed!
  10. Good afternoon, time for a quick check-in. @Seasick Sailorthanks for scouting out the Bigelow tea for me; I'm a happy girl now! @luvteachingI only use white sugar in the recipe. @kazuyes, that's the drinking game; I'm pretty good at it now! I can definitely identify with your last meme; how many times has that happened to me over the years!?! @dfish and @Quartzsite Cruiserthanks for granting me admittance to the Messy Bakers Club; I'll wear that badge proudly.
  11. I'm hoping for admission into the exclusive Messy Bakers Club with this application: That's icing sugar on my well-worn moccasin.
