We have been fortunate to be invited to the Magic Castle a couple times. That is what the decor inside looks like. The Victorian mansion that is the Castle is haunting just driving up and standing outside. The ship won't have that ambiance.
Here's the thing. The magician who invited me has passed, but he was far above the level of someone who would work as an entertainer on a cruise ship. ALL the magicians there were. So what caliber of magician will be willing to work a ship contract?
As mentioned, there is a dress code when attending The Magic Castle. It is specific and enforced. This remains to be seen for the ship. http://www.magiccastle.com/dresscode/
not seeing how this is going to work out on a Princess ship with the current Princess demographic.
What % of Princess cruisers have a clue what this is about anyway?

OK, our bags are almost packed, we just checked into our 7:30 am flight, and the weather forecast is looking pretty good (with no weird weather at least in sight) for a 3:15 pm arrival tomorrow in Toronto by way of Charlotte.
So I believe without further to do, it's time for Freddie, as we are definitely starting to get excited!! 🕺💃

Sorry, do not understand the question. I provided two links for information about Magic Castle enterprise.
oops - guess we won't be going formal unless I get a note from my podiatrist regarding my "dress" black on black leather 'tennis' shoes

With limited entrance, it may be like 360 - Reserve Guests only at first by invite.
I figure $75/pp once open to anyone to book. If PCL plays nice they could include a first drink with the admission (not holding my breath).
I wonder how the conversation went between PCL and MC concerning dress code. The MC dress code is very strict and very formal.
link? maybe i missed that on the website

In business the way to kill a product or service and not directly have the company take full blame is to raise the price to a point where no one is buying and then eliminate it and say it was because of lack of sales. Then they can do as others have suggested and convert the space to another full cost venue.
Yep, I've fired a few pita clients that way... strictly business

Wow - the real magic is separating the cruisers from their money! - had no clue what this was about, so just looked at the food/drink menu - a $16 basic Caesar salad? - Nope -

Yes, I did read "Medicare advantage" which I have secondary insurance (better than advantage). I have always been under the information that if Medicare denies (which I am waiting for)...it is sent to my secondary which will also deny. Great if my Secondary picks up 80% and AON picks up the other 20%. (or 100% since I have no deductible/no co-pay).
Hoping AON will also reimburse $28 cost for medical records and postage (aka sheldon cooper).
they didn't for us - aka me

Solid post - appreciate it. And as you noted, you had to pay the medical bill thru your on-board account, then seek insurance reimbursement. That happens even if you have purchased the 'insurance' thru Princess / Aon / carrier.
A copy of the medical records, Itemized statement of charges, and your final folio showing you paid that amount goes a long way for the insurance reimbursement.
been there, done that

what time does Vines open on a sea day? No, we won't spend "all day" in there, but possibly multiple stops for 'roadies' ( or doubles ) to take to a nice spot to 'people watch' or 'ocean watch' - or maybe back to the cabin balcony - if it makes it that far ...

We never ever use a casino, so I would certainly prefer to keep Take 5 as is.
We never used Take 5 - would have preferred a Crooners piano bar

Not currently interested in the CB at all out of Canaveral. Will that change is less than a month now?
Lots of other choices out of Port Canaveral with newer ships ... P could have a least parked the Royal or Regal there for the inaugural season. May be a one and done deal for P

It is 'cheaper' for Princess to refund as OBC instead of credit card transaction and the associated fee.
P is hoping you go ahead and spend the OBC on something, but if not, will process a paper check in about 6 weeks as per recent posters.

We have the Premier package for an upcoming sailing in July. The app recognized our credits, but required a CC number before we could reserve. After reading the complaints on here of being charged, I ended up going to the website version, and was able to make a reservation for Crown Grill and Catch by Rudi without entering any payment information. Afterwards I went back into the app and was able to verify that the reservations were there.if I may ...
what is your cruise status - captain's level and cabin type
also - casino cruise?
paid in full? - not for next July, right?
that's encouraging for our cruise next November 2024 - may go into the website and see what happens

To us it's simply not worth the effort. Free is "nice" but not necessary. On Royal Princess last year I went from deck to deck in search of a working token machine. I finally gave up and went to Customer Services. They not only wouldn't give me free tokens but didn't seem to care that the machines were broken. They finally said they would have someone "take a look" at the token machines. An hour later I checked and nobody had fixed them but I did find another passenger who was using the laundry and she told me of a laundry location where she had finally found a working token machine so I was able to procure tokens to do our laundry. We haven't had the best luck with the free Elite laundry so we tend to do our own rather than sending it out.
come on man - you know the 'pro tip' about getting your tokens early

bummer - but will prolly still use it for a little 5 day - but would definitely look at the park n rides for longer periods. In and out of T2 is pretty easy, except for our last cruise where it took us almost 45 minutes to get out of the new parking garage from level 5

Thanks, I will check out the new train. I have read about it but I need to check where the stations are.
We'll probably end up driving most likely and hopefully google maps will save us. It's just that everyone uses them and I would hate to get stuck in traffic. Fingers crossed!!
try the Waze app

Great question! Perhaps someone here has direct knowledge. The crew never seems to complain outwardly to passengers but you can tell they’re overworked and stressed.
If the crew is there to be hired, visa'd, trained, etc and Princess chooses not to go to that expense, then that's a real problem - not for Princess - they made their decision. And passengers, like us, can continue to sail or not, under those circumstances.

Most cruiselines are having issues attracting enough crew members and this greatly impacts the quality of service
why? - I'd like facts, not readers opinions
what do crew members state is/are the problems?

the CB arrives and departs on Halloween in Port Everglades. Not expecting much in the way of decorations. I don't remember much about our Thanksgiving cruise last year in regards to decorating, just a full dinner menu

it's obvious Princess doesn't want to be in wedding vow renewal process by has these outrageous price points.. seems like they are working to eliminate them
