Julius and Junella - both from the CB and both transferred to the SKY - have taken very good care of us in Vines and Crooners on the CB , and also Ajay on the SKY
Also remember Carmen in Vines, and I believe there was a 'Cherry' also in Vines, that I believe moved to Wheelhouse on one of our cruises
see a pattern developing ??

i'm thinking it may be a staggered startup as some countries and ports will be more acceptable than others to re-start the cruise business … whatever those countries may be

I booked under the 'savers rate' then was able to add drinks and grats ( BEST2DG) for $ 30 pp pd
so a somewhat basic breakdown pp pd
Wifi - 10
grats - 15
drinks - 15
for the complete package of $ 40 pp pd
not sure it's still available now, and you might have to 'educate' your TA or Princess rep to look for those codes

We received ours too. Leaving between 1&2. Miami to ATL then Charlotte, then Washington Dulles. Then 3+ hours to home via private transportation. Leave here at 1pm arrive home 1AM. But I'll be home!
is that a charter and just dropping off passengers at those locations ?

Deaths and infections have come from multiple cruiselines. RCL has certainly contributed to three deaths here. Princess is certainly over represented. Currently it would be a blanket halt to all cruises for a time, not just Carnival, if that was the approach decided on. It won't be up to the cruiselines to decide.yeah, whatever … Australia won't do anything and welcome back with open arms when cruises resume

It's a sad time for the cruise industry. Especially in New Zealand and Australia where cruises have contributed overwhelmingly to our Covid occurrence and fatality rates. Coral - everyone's favourite ship I think? In trying to protect their industry by not canceling cruises, they may well have doomed it. At least for some time.which will happen first ?
Carnival says - no more cruises to Australia
Australia says - Carnival corp is banned
yeah, right - neither
and the beat goes on

is the cruise still under the same promotion you booked under ? If so, there "should" be no "change fee", just the difference in price
if the promotions are different , well that's a different story - maybe good, maybe not so much

And no one thinks its strange that out of thousands of CC members here not one single person that was cancelled on March 12th has received a refund in the first 30 days?

Refundable Deposit July 2019
cruise date oct 2020
cancelled by me March 1/20
amex dispute March 25/20
so all of this is over a refundable deposit only , and not the total cruise cost ?
or did I miss that you had paid the final
musta been one helluva cruise and deposit … good for you for being proactive, I guess ...

So, ever since Carnival cancelled all of its Alaska cruises through June 30, I have been waiting for Princess to mirror the announcement. Since Carnival owns Princess, why wouldn't Princess be canceling too?
Princess still says on their website that they are still evaluating all aspects of the required decision-making.
What on earth is holding them up?
cash refunds for cancelled cruises - multiple threads ...

Princess does not require everyone over 21 in the cabin buy the drink package.
kinda sorta right / wrong /maybe
if you flat out buy the drink package ( why would anyone do that if they can get Princess Plus ) - correct
but if you do book under Princess Plus - and I going to ASSuME 2 adults - both will get the cost added/included in the fare
not going to get into
a) only getting best2dg - no wifi
b) 3-4 'kids' in same cabin

I self-upgraded a couple of weeks ago by emailing my crack Princess PVP from a high up inside (IB) to an obstructed deluxe balcony on Discovery for 12/21 … little 4 day cruise to Grand Turk and back … only cost up $10 pp total for the 4 days 🤑
and if we tried to do the same self-upgrade to a little 5 day cruise this fall on the SKY, it would be $330 pp total … gonna wait on that one for now ...

What you bought was never received so call credit card company. Agent can walk you through dispute process easy with Amex. I just did it
dog, just a few dates ...
when did you book your cruise ( deposit date )
when was final payment due ( amex charge )
when was cruise date
when did you actually cancel, or did Princess cancel your cruise
this may help other posters in your same situation make an informed decision to dispute a charge

Well filed my dispute with my credit card companies for my money. Seems I will get my monies faster than the cruise company is offering. That’s real sad that I had to go this route for the refund. This also forces the company to respond in a timely manner or the charges automatically get reversed, according to the credit card companies.
did you cancel your cruise, or did Princess cancel your cruise ?
you're not expecting "ANY" FCC at this point after you did that, correct ?

And your point is ?
What additional facts would you like ?
sorry if you thought that was sarcasm … I thought it was an excellent posting with 2 excellent links showing that at least
a month lag from Princess knowing what was going on, and stopping ( somewhat ) cruises at that point

Are you saying you think Princess and the Cruise Industry as a whole acted in a timely and appropriate manner, in the light of the developing crisis, having primary regard to the safety of passengers and crew alike ?
wow, a full month - excellent posting of FACTS !
