  1. @Thrak did they have these in the Wheelhouse Bar on some ships in the past?
  2. How Does Princess Upgrade Work? You will receive an email invitation after all eligibility requirements are met and have opted-in to receive marketing emails from Princess. Log in , go to your profile and make sure you have opted-in to marketing emails EDIT: a suite is now showing as available for our cruise - it is $1,340 pp more than our current price for a deluxe true aft balcony Whadda ya think I should bid if contacted? - 5 day cruise
  3. nothing yet... CB - after 10/1 - we've paid final, not due until 9/9 as per the Princess website - we are in the highest balcony (deluxe) with no mini's or suites showing as available to book ... we are true aft - so 'maybe' we could bid on a middle? - no desire for a mini, even if it comes available for bid - we would possibly look at a bid for a full suite, again, if it becomes available - but our bid wouldn't be a lot based on our short cruise - maybe $50 pp per day MAX
  4. is the ultimate balcony dinner being offered? we've got a nice balcony and some OBC to use ...
  5. thanks - just curious - will you get those same 'casino discounts' on Virgin?
  6. thanks - didn't go to the link, yet ... but now I understand it's a lifestyle choice, and not a medical choice like people who have to carry an Epipen and seek immediate medical attention if they somehow eat or are exposed to something they are highly allergic to.
  7. so, you don't get violently sick or go into shock, like someone who has a peanut or dairy allergy? Just trying to learn
  8. is being vegan/vegetarian a 'medical condition' choice, or just a personal choice - definitely not a thread-hijack here, sorry EDIT - I guess I'm asking what happens if you eat something not vegan/vegetarian?
  9. if you get charged for a drink(s) that you didn't have (not mischarged because of the package) does that mean that someone who actually ordered that drink(s) didn't get charged? - and who knows what goes on 'behind the scenes' with the PLUS packages??? People getting to know the bartenders (wink, wink) and leaving a generous tip for a "free" drink charged to someone else ( maybe with the PLUS package ) cue the music..
  10. as I sit at my home office desk...waiting on the NASCAR race tonight...waiting on the FSU at LSU football game tonight... sipping out of my Princess -Coca-Cola tumbler - sailing is so refreshing - a screw-top 2018 Jacobs Creek Cab - Double Barrel - "selectively finished for 2 months in Aged Irish Whiskey Barrels" - while finishing off some "hot" breaded shrimp from Hooters from a couple of nights ago (not really sure how that happened)... pretty sure some "hot cheese" is not a deal breaker ...😉 EDITED: - this wine was a recent BOGO at our local ... Publix ... I stocked up
  11. be sure to get a itemized statement from the medical center - may cost you $28 also be sure to get a finalized folio from your cruise showing you paid the medical cost which was charged to your on board account
  12. how many "Princess pours" are there in a bottle of wine?
  13. 8am - 11pm - 15 hours - "1" drink per hour metabolized by your body 6 beers, 4 wines, 3 scotch, 2 (amaretto, Jameson, kalua) coffee drinks maybe substitute a vodka/grapefruit, champagne , snappes shot lots of waters to stay hydrated sea day j/s
  14. booze smuggling pretty much not needed anymore with the PLUS package ... or so I've been told 🤑
  15. No $100 excursion credit with the 'no frills' base fare ...
  16. Future cruise 2023 - no change to PLUS fare - excursion promo added meh
  17. at any bar - we just ask them not to open it - no problem ... now this is NOT a bucket of beer - which is not included in the PLUS package
  18. Rail transfer? - way back in the day we stayed at Captain Cook for a night , then took a bus the next morning...
  19. is ultimate balcony dining (UBD) being offered - for purchase, of course?
  20. we didn't dress up - but a lot did - one family had a whole 'star wars theme' costumes that easily took up a good sized suitcase by themselves. there was a holdover group of about 50-75 cruisers on a b2b ( out of about 500 or so we were told on the previous cruise ). They also 'dressed up (some R rated)' and also dominated the aft "adult" pool area, one of our go to places. We were shocked, to say the least, when we encountered that group upon going to that bar for our sailaway drinks. We found another place(s) for the remainder of the cruise.
  21. no double for suites obtained by "upsells" ( pre-bidding process ) but, really, how much does it matter anymore?
  22. also don't forget going to the International Cafe (if there is one on the ship) - lots of options there
