Ops-messed up my previous reply above. Sorry.

How long has Stardust been running? I’m 64 and my husband is 70 and we don’t know the songs in that show. I’d much rather see On the Bayou than Stardust. The last time we saw Stardust, I heard there was an elderly couple in the front row singing along with all the songs so I guess that means we are not elderly yet 😀.

Google “emerald princess terrace pool” to see pictures.  You will see the outside stairs that run down from the pool along each side to a door that leads to the riviera deck hallway.  It also shows the stairs up to the lido buffet.

pre-'rona - we stayed in inside cabins about 3 or 4 down from that door and steps (about 7 or 8).

Caution - those steps can get wet, the door is heavy, and there is a 'lip' of about 4 inches or so to step over at the door (keeps the water from the pool out of the hallway). It is also easy to access the pool/bar area by taking the aft stairs or elevator.  We really enjoyed that location, but now opt for balconies.

Understood.  I also understand that consistency across all ships and embarkation terminals is nonexistent, and it has always been that way.  What will work on the Regal Princess, won't necessarily work on Caribbean Princess and the same is true for Seattle or Port Everglades.

@schooner_Drinker seems to think that the $25 is being spent on the pre-paid Visa card.  The $25 on the card is not being spent unless you spend it.  If you don't spend it, then you still keep your $25.  I don't know what fee would be charged for purchasing it, as the card I used was a rebate from a product I once bought.

    $5.95 activation for a $25 card

    $5.95 activation for a $500 card

I know 4 days don’t have one but thought longer ones did. Could be 6 days or more. I rarely sail less than 10 days unless it is part of a back to back. On a 4 day in September we were given a free dinner to make up for no most traveled luncheon

this states 6 days or more ... but we got one comped once on a 4 day when the dine line called us by mistake to book the time - we showed up - and it was honored anyway

Tom, you can find Riedel glasses pretty much everywhere.  Even Target carries them from time to time.  I would just wait for a great Christmas sale at one of the major department stores.  You can get something close at Ross or Marshall’s, though for very little cost.  Just look for the really thin rim and the shape to go properly with either red or white.

which is better? - a $50 wine in a (deleted)

That's what I thought. I have always seen that any OBC can be used in the casino and for any on board expense. It's just posted as a credit on your on board account.

correct ... until Princess decides to enforce certain terms and conditions about OBC

Print out the list that's available on Princess.com.

The ONE time we were in a suite (major one-time splurge), we were very disappointed because our steward either wasn't aware of the extras or didn't care. I had to show him the list in order to get 75% of the extras and still didn't manage to get all of them.

It was only a 4-day cruise or I would have insisted on a different steward.

Our EXACT same situation - took an upsell to a Penthouse suite from a Balcony - little 4 day on the CB, pre-Covid. - Steward may have been new to suites ... as were we.  We did get the 1st night specialty dinner 'by mistake' - the dine line called 'us', we booked, and were comped after a discussion, when seated.  Had to ask for everything

Totally agree and I've said it for years.  They need a new level above Elite.  Way too many Elites now.  30 cruises or 300 days sounds fair to me too.  Even just one more small perk added would be nice.

nope - days only - no more 1 day solo in a suite west coast repo's.

    start the clock 1/1/24 ...

I did report on seeing the price increases on the new App, when it came out 2 days ago.

I looked at CG showing $63 PP

Harmony & The Catch $53 PP

Seems some show it and others see the $39 & $35 prices still.

Is this a glitch or is there an increase coming?  IDK

wasn't there a previous thread(s) about some high quality/grade beef coming soon - maybe associated with Nolan Ryan?

Could this be the increase for the CG?

You joke but I once had to write an entire program on punch cards. What a nightmare.

Not a joke at all - that's how I also had to learn programming - Cobol? maybe - punch out the stack of cards, then run them thru - until the dreaded error came up.

Now I heard of some people being in the college business lab, pulling out nearly completed program out of the garbage can - recreating the cards, etc, etc, etc - nah, that never happened ...

LOL! My background is as a database specialist, both as a programmer and DBA... I agree... stupid simple... and it probably wouldn't even require an additional DB query as the package would likely already have been read as part of building the customer object.

    Just lazy programming IMO.

took less than 5 minutes for me to create the punch cards needed for this ...🦄

Most of our inaugural sailings, the cruise lines have taken their MOST experienced crew members throughout different departments.  So, you should have great service.

Because they are new ships, there will be a learning curve due to the huge differences in the ship layout, etc.

Some ships sail pre inaugural with corporate employees, press, etc and practice on them first.  IDk if this will happen with the Sun.

they can bring over the 'rock stars' ... but until P decides to 'crew up' in the bars and prep areas - drink service is going to be slow in some areas -

1-2 bartenders in Vines and service is amazing

1-2 bartenders in Crooners - "Service is so terrible, I'm never sailing P again!!"
